  • Put the power to the pavement
  • Assembled 7.5" Limited Slip Differential
  • Will accept anti-lock exciter ring
  • For use with stock 28 spline axles
Description
Limited Slip Differential. A Limited Slip Differential (LSD) sometimes referred to as a "Posi" will allow both rear wheels to put the power down on the pavement giving you better traction and more impressive burnouts. So stop doing those ridiculous one wheel burn outs and upgrade to a Ford Racing 7.5" 28 Spline Traction-LOK Limited Slip Differential from AmericanMuscle.

Heavy Duty. The Ford Racing 7.5" Limited Slip Differential unit uses heavy plate-style clutches and is designed for use with stock 28 spline axles for 7.5" V6 Mustang. Great for the street or strip driving this differential will accept the anti-lock brake exciter ring found on most late model V6 Mustangs.

Application. This Limited Slip Differential will fit V6 Mustangs with 28 Spline axles. With the addition of your 28 spline axles, and fresh gear oil this Limited Slip is guaranteed to drastically outperform and outlast your stock set up!

Technical Note: You will need to reuse your factory 7.5” gear set, or upgrade to a set of our 7.5" rear gears for this Limited Slip Differential. No aftermarket gears are included. For normal driving conditions we recommend you use 75W 90 rear gear oil. This will give you the same oil weight as factory. For colder temps or race use try 75w 140.

    What they said!

I agree with all the other reviews. This is a great modification. The handling is improved and there is nothing like two wheel burnouts and extra grip.

Used with 4.10\'s and T5 manual transmission

My launch can now actually be called a launch. It appeared to be well built and it drives quietly, although with a faint, lift-off \"growl.\" I can lay on the power in a strait line, but it gains even more through the corners. It\'s consistent at the limits and power can be applied much sooner on exit. Great modification.

    Power to the Pavement

This is a great little locker from Ford Racing, and yes that is the correct purchase price. It's a time proven unit and has been around since 1979, 33 years. And I my Mechanic told me they will hang tough all the way to 500HP. And My V6 has a target of 375HP plus a 55 shot. After 500 miles of break in I put it to the test with new 3.73 gears. What a difference, launch, cornering, drifting you are at a whole new level. You can spend more money I'm sure. But for the 7.5 you will not get more BANG for your BUCK! It's the only way to go, end of story.

Gain Full Control of Your Pony!

This is definitely in my top mods I have done to my 04 V6. Installation was not to difficult if you have common knowledge of what all goes into getting the diff out, proper adjustment and if you have the right tools. Took me and a friend (who has some good tools and know how) about 3 hours and 30 minutes to get it done. I bought it with the Motive Gear Bearing kit and was able to install new bearings and use the shims to get within a thousandth of an inch from the original backlash on the gears. Setting it right was the hardest part and once it was done it went back together easier than it came out. This is a great mod. Awesome launch control and I can break it loose and control the angle of a drift with ease and smoothness. Its awesome hear both tires squeal off the line rather than just the right one.
