  • yes you can put what ever rotors you want, as long as they are 12.4 inch GT rotors. Have fun stopping :)

    Noticeable difference

Bought these awhile back when my stock rotors were going out. The car would shake, particularly the side mirrors and steering wheel. I decided it was time for a new pair and why not upgrade to GT sized ones. I noticed a huge improvement in stopping and braking was much smoother. Nothing to dislike about the upgrade kit, came with everything you need to install them.

    Great product.

The upgrade kit does what is intended. The rotors came on time but the package was missing two of the four caliper screws that should have been in the box. That was not a problem as the existing stock caliper screws were a fit. The rotors were covered with an anti rust coating that had to be cleaned off with solvent before the install. There were no instructions but I was guided by a friend who has done a few mods in his time. You will need to look up the torque settings for the screws. Look out for the sharp points on the caliper springs when you slide the brake pads in.

    Frpp brake upgrade

I got these for my 08 and they really open up the response of the brakes. You can feel the car braking harder and with less pressure on the pedal! great product for the money and good quality. Install wasn't to bad either!!

Now I can stop when I want

Before with the original brakes I had trouble stopping. When I would try to slow down from higher speeds I would get a vibration through the car as it would "try" to slow down. These bigger brakes should've come stock on v6 mustangs, but it's definitely worth it if you drive fast!

Exactly What I Thought I'd Get

After determining that I required new brakes for my daily driver, I decided to do an upgrade over the stock brakes. I was pleasantly pleased with the packaging, and with the contents of the box, which included all the required hardware, to include all new bolts and fittings. After the install, which is quite easy and a proper break-in for the rotors, the stopping power is noticeably better. Much thanks to AM.

    GT Rotor Upgrade

When your rotors go bad you will end up spending at least $100 for a new set so why not put in the couple extra bucks and get bigger, more powerful rotors and brackets. Personally i wanted a good set of drilled and slotted rootrs and they are hard to find for V6. This way when these get worn over time, i can upgrade to any GT rotors of my choice. Also i had steering wheel shaking under hard stopping pressure and this fixed it right away. Good Buy. Worth the money!.

    must have

Specifically, V6 owners who add horses, and increase tire size, over 17 inches, my car no longer feels like its going to slide through the brakes, I did this upgrade with new Hawk ceramic pads, although the original pads had plenty of bite left, the increased surface of the rotor, stops the car faster, and the brakes stay cooler.

    V6 Brake Upgrade

This product fits well and looks nice. Gives the v6 the big strong breaks look. Not much of a difference in stopping power though but worth the price if you need new brakes and rotors.

These rotors should have been factory standard on the V6.

Fit perfect, More expensive than replacing with the stock size rotors but was worth the extra $$ for the improved braking and looks.

    Great for the cost!

I had them installed by a dealer since I was up for my 30K service they swapped them out for very little extra. For the money, very much worth it. I'd do it again.

    65 > 08 Brake swap

Purchased these to go along with a brake swap I am doing on my 65 mustang. I do not have it on the road yet but it will be an obvious improvement over the 4 wheel drum brakes that were stock.

    Much needed Maintenance

Definitely what the doctor ordered. The old rotors from the v6 model were seriously inadequate post V8 swap. This kit did the trick for what I needed it for. They clear the 15-17 gt mustang performance pack wheels with no issues of inside rubbing and I can tell there is a lot less brake fade and better stopping power that is comparable to a stock GT mustang if not slightly better. The install was easy at only 15-20 minutes per side and has all the needed hardware so you don't have to reuse old bolts.

    A must have for sixxers!

I never figured out WHY Ford chose to put SMALLER rotors on the front of V6's... As soon as you get bigger wheels, you really feel the difference! I got this kit for my daughter's 05. (NO, I'm not fronting! My DD is a 98 V6) Anyway, it took no longer than a standard brake job, and reuses the calipers. It stops better now, because you've increased the "leverage" of the brakes by moving the caliper closer to the tire. Highly recommend! ~ Carmine

Ford should have just installed this from the factory. Installation was a breeze and took about an 1hr for both sides.

Excellent budget upgrade for the V6

I recently bought bigger rims for my '05 V6 and the stock brakes were not stopping as good as they should have after the change. After reading a bunch of posts on forums and reading the reviews here, I decided to grab these. Now it wasn't a huge change but it's definitely A LOT better, I can stop when I want to now! If your a V6 owner and your changing rims, adding a bit more horses, etc etc, this upgrade that worth it.

    12.4" brake upgrade

My stock brakes were worn out, so I took my car to a shop to get everything replaced. I was quoted $200 to get the same wimpy and tiny sized front rotors that come stock on our V6. I then knew I had to resort to AM for another solution. Lo and behold, they carry this brake kit that gives you the bigger GT rotors and at a lower price. Knowing that my car is no longer stock, I had to increase the braking power to make up for the extra HP. The shop installed it in about 15 minutes and they were telling me how great they were. This kit comes with everything you need. Under normal driving, they feel just about the same. I then decided to really test them out. I hit 60 mph and pushed the brakes hard and right away I felt a huge difference in stopping power! The brakes no longer struggle to put a halt on this pony. And the big brakes look gives the car more appeal! I highly recommend this brake kit if your car is not stock. Thanks, AM!

    gt brakes

Definitely feel more bite than the old rotors and under hard braking the car comes to stop in less time and distance :). Next upgrade is the stainless steel lines that should make it even better!!!!
