Can you install this in a 2005 GT as an engine swap? I have been looking into replacing the 3V 4.6L in my 2005 GT. Just wondering if this crate engine can be installed without too much trouble? If so, what all would I need to make it work?

  • It can be done, but it's not easy. There are several mechanical mounting issues, and many electrical differences. Our shop has done this a few times, it's not an easy swap in terms of investment.

  • Plain and simple: Yes and as much as you wanted. Longer version: While these motors have been putting out some great numbers both NA and Boosted, a lot of the guys are saying 500HP is your safe point and others say 700+ is fine. These motors are great, but you're asking a lot of it by spraying.
