Description
More Power. Increase the horsepower and torque output of your 4-valve 5.0L Coyote engine with a set of Ford Racing BOSS 302R CNC Ported Cylinder Heads. This is a brand new OEM production BOSS 302R 4-valve cylinder head casting that has been CNC ported by Ford Racing to increase air flow and overall performance of your 5.0 Coyote GT.

Fully Assembled. Leak tested prior to assembly, each Ford Racing Boss Head comes fully assembled with factory steel guides, production springs, valves, retainers, locks, and seals. Does not include camshafts, rocker arms and lash adjusters.

Improved Air Flow. These ported Ford Racing Boss heads have an intake port volume of 193cc allowing for an intake flow of approximately 4% more than the stock 5.0L head.

Additional Features. Extra features include 37mm hollow stem intake valves and 31.8mm sodium-filled exhaust valves for improved heat dissipation.

Required Upgrade. It is required to use the Ford Racing head changing kit part# M-6067-M50BR when installing these Boss 302 heads on your DOHC 5.0L Coyote engine.

Application. This Ford Racing BOSS 302R CNC Ported Driver Side Cylinder Head is specifically designed to be a direct bolt-on performance upgrade for the 2011 to 2014 GT Mustangs with the 5.0L 4-valve V8 Coyote engine. Includes Left Side driver side Ford Racing BOSS 302R Cylinder Head only.

Does this include the camshaft and valves? Just wandering if this includes the camshaft in valves, if the ones in my current mustang will fit this if it doesnt, and if that which ones i would be best off with if im planning on adding a supercharger down the road.

  • The heads come bare, meaning they have the valves installed along with the springs but you need to provide your lash adjusters and roller followers from your old heads, or you can get new ones using the Ford Racing kits M-6500-M50 - lash adjuster assembly or M-6564-M50 - roller follower kit. The factory camshafts will fit without issue but I would be looking to upgrade to better camshafts if I were to do heads as well. Don't forget that you will need assembly lube for installing cams, lash adjusters and followers. I used Comp Cams assembly lube #103 as per Comp cams instructions.

Do i need to purchase camshafts, rocker arms and lash adjusters if it is a direct bolt on? Will the OEM camshafts/ rocker arms and lash adjusters in the coyote work?

woodsy

  • You will need to purchase cams, rocker arms and lash adjusters. The OEM parts should fit but you will not get the HP gains unless you change the cams.

This head is oem from ford so everything fits as it should and the performance gains are nice too especially in the upper rpm range.
