Complete Harness. The Ford Racing Multiport EFI Wiring Harness consists of a single harness with integral connections for injectors and O2 sensors. It has provisions for electric fan control output and includes compact fuse, relay box, "Check Engine" light, and all necessary grommets.

Fully Loomed. Being fully loomed, from the PCM to all the sensors and injectors, typical installation takes less than 1 hour.

Application. The Ford Racing Multiport EFI Wiring Harness is a direct fit replacement for 1986-1993 302 H.O. engines and can be easily adapted to many other Ford V8 pushrod engines. Compatible with engines using both H.O. and non-H.O. firing orders Technical Note. Requires the use of a PCM from a 1989-1993 High Output 5.0L Mustang (not included).

will there be any other harness required for the rest of the vehicle or is this all that is required to retro fit a 5.0 into this vehicle?


  • The Ford Performance Multiport EFI Wiring Harness (86-93 5.0L) is just for the electronic fuel injection. It does not include a PCM or really any other electronics. There are a lot more variables involved to definitively say what you would need, however I can definitely say you need more than just this.

What all is excluded from this harness? Does it have the connectors for head lights and an OEM dash? Or is this strictly a racing harness with the bare min? I have done a 5.0 swap into a 91 LX, And am having a hard time finding a ECU harness and this looks like a good fit. But I want the car to still be streetable. Thanks, Vess


  • It is a racing harness, It has everything you need to EFI a car. It is very high quality and similar to 89-93 mustang wiring harness as far as the layout. but does not have any accessories loomed in. It is meant for taking a 302 engine and installing it any kind of Hot rod. No head lights, No air bags, No charcoal canister relay, No smog, only the EGR. No low oil sender wiring. And it is a very clean fit. I had a few advantages in my swap, I had my old harness so I had a few connectors I reused. I did not need the airbag wiring because I am changing my steering wheel, I did not need the low oil harness because I have a 7 quart pan and no provisions for the oil sensor, and I just vent the charcoal can out. And the harness includes wires for temp, oil pressure, tach, check engine light. It comes with a fuse/relay box. and this is a great unit, it has the fuel pump relay, A/C cutout relay, and EEC relay. which eliminates a lot of relays being mounted all over the car. It also comes with a great instructional manual, but some of it is left out if you are installing it in a fox. Good luck, NA Notch

Hello! I have a 5.0 ho from a 91 t-bird with a remote tfi, and pcm. With this harness do I need to change the disturbitor and pcm from a mustang? Thanks for your time and effort


  • This harness is designed to work with the PCM from a 1989-1993 5.0 Mustang. You will need to require all the needed parts in order for this harness to function properly.

Does it come with instructions on what sensor is for what plug , I don't want the egr I just want what is nesesary for the car to work would I be able to take out the egr cable out? Looking for the simplest way to install not worried about emissions


  • Unfortunately the Ford Performance Multiport EFI Wiring Harness (86-93 5.0L) will not come with a full instruction kit, but it will tell you what each wire will be for.

does this plug into a4r70w trans or will i need a stand alone controller? and also do i need a mass air computer for this?


  • An 1989-1993 Mustang PCM has no way to run a electronically controlled transmission, you will need a stand alone harness to make that work. You will also need a Mass air meter for this kit as well.

Is this Everything i need to go from Carb EFI? i have an 83 carb and im putting an 89 302 engine in it and it has no wiring harness is this all the wiring i need ? or is anything excluded? please reply


  • The Ford Performance Multiport EFI Wiring Harness (86-93 5.0L) is perfect for this engine swap. You may need to get another PCM because your original one is designed for the 89 engine. You will need a PCM that will work with an EFI System. Other than that, everything should bolt up the same.

    great overall product

    amazing difference in running quality.after dealing with the old 25 year old wiring i gave up and oped for the ford racing harness. if you have basic wiring skills its a no brainer to install
