I know K-springs do not come with the kit, but could I swap the Ps out for Ks without a problem? I was wondering since I have the K-springs already if they would work in place of the P-springs with the rest of the kit? I expect it would not be a problem but I just wanted to check to make sure there are not any compatibility issues.

  • Definitely. FR just included the P-springs with this kit, but using K-Springs instead wouldn't cause any issues. The only difference between those (2) springs is the drop, with the K-Springs being a 1/2 inch lower than the P-Springs. Hope this helps!

Does 1" drop require adjustable UCA? will the 1" drop in the rear change the pinion angle enough to require a adjustable UCA?

  • no need for UCA replacement. but you will need an adjustable panhard bar to bring the rear end back in line.

    Should be Factory Standard

I just had my 2010 Mustang GT modified with the Ford Racing Suspension-Lowering Package. I must say this is an excellent product. I had it professionally installed and it took him 6 hours along with new rubber all the way around. The handling is so much improved with little or no body roll and you can attack corners with virtually no fear of tail drag. If anything, oversteer is all but eliminated but beware on wet pavement as you can oversteer easily when cornering. It lowered my Mustang by 1" all the way around and looks meaner as this is the way it should have come from the factory. Install with new tires all around cost me $800.00 but well worth every dime. I took the advice from one of commenters and purchased the Eibach Camber bolts and had a full front end alignment. Ride is firmer and a bit stiff, but I just drove twice since the mods so it should soften up after a while. All I can say is WOW and a MUST buy for all you Mustang lovers Great job AM ! ! !

    SVT does an excellent job

All parts look OEM. Install takes roughly 4.5 hours with air tools a jack and stands. Limited instructions but the install is pretty much remove and replace. No spring compressors necessary. I took measurements before and after. Total drop was 1.1 inches forward and 1.0 rear. The look is how the car should have come from the factory. Driveways are problem free but the look is much improved. Toe change was about an eight, enough for a new alignment. Front negative camber increased by about -.25 deg both sides. Again, get your pride and joy aligned after install or your front tires will pay. Post install the car corners extremely flat. Turn-in is improved at the limit and the car is totally neutral. Perfect for dry corner carving but be careful in the rain. Understeer is gone with the swaybar in its middle setting. The ride is mildly firmer overall but it really is imperceptible until you roll over multiple sharp bumps over 30 MPH then it feels like a Z06 or similar sports car. The highway ride is still very good. Overall an excellent improvement and worth the money.

    What a fantstic upgrade!

I installed this FR Handling Pack over 2 days. Did the rear first, then the front. Instructions only came with the sway bars. Watched a couple of videos on YouTube to get a feel of what to do. Only tricky part was getting the front sway bar replaced. My 2011 GT has a front cross-member that needs to be removed to clear the way for removal and installation of the sway bar. Lowered the car by 1" all around. Car has a much more aggressive stance. Corners flat with very little nose-dive on braking. The OEM sway bar on my car had seized bushings which made a constant creaking noise when going over speed bumps. It also limited the travel of the front suspension because of this binding. Everything is good now. Pick up a pair of camber bolts and take your car in for an alignment afterwards. You'll feel better knowing that your front end is set up properly and that you'll get less wear on your tires.

    Corner Carving Beast

If your not sure whether to drop this much on suspension, I'll save you the time. GET IT! This is the best deal out there. The only time I have to slow down in a corner now is when I can't stay in the seat. It drops your car a solid inch all the way around. Its not to low so driveways aren't a problem. The ride is a bit bouncier but its not as bad as I was expecting. Grab some Eibach camber bolts and get your stang riding right. I also combined this kit with a steeda rear shock tower brace and a J&M Pan-Hard bar. Perfect combo. The difference between the stock parts and the new ones are very apparent. Took about 7 hours to install this all with a bud. Could have been quicker if we new exactly what we were doing but we just chugged along. Not as hard as you would think. Bottom line is this kit is awesome. You will finally have confidence in you ride while going through corners at speed. GET IT!

One of the best suspension packages out there

I know for the hardcore racers, they might not find suspension pack worth the money. But if you are just looking for something to improve handling, better looks, then you won't find a better deal. I have spent hours researching, and you get the most out of this product. Make sure you apply some Loctite or grease because you will hear clunking noise from the rear swaybar.

    Nice Ride. Eats up corners.

This package will transform your Mustang into a corner-carving machine. Stiff ride with no roll. The lower stance makes the car look like it should.

Nice improvement to handling and ride!!

This was my first mustang, and it needed an upgrade. I was surprised at how easy these parts were to install. I didn't have a helper, so it took a little longer than I expected, but all the parts fit right up with no problem, and any questions I had were answered on the AA website. The improvement was fantastic! The ride is much better and the handling is now what I expected in the first place. The quality of the parts looked good, and it still handles great after two months, even on the rough roads in AZ. Great product and I would definitely recommend this upgrade to improve the ride!

    I love it

My 07 has 56k miles on the stock suspension so it was in desperate need of some work, I had horrible wheel hop and could barely give it any gas over any kind of bumps. But now that I have the frhp it is like a night and day difference. I have almost 1k miles on the new set up, I'm starting to hear some clinking in the front tho, I'm not positive it's the handling pack tho, could just need to be re packed. The only downfall to this pack is that you really can't buy just that to install it, you also need a new pan hard bar in the back that is adjustable to re align the back end, but other than that I absolutely love this pack and taking exits off the highway almost without slowing down! I definately recommend this if you plan on keeping your stang for a while.

You must get this Handling package

Factory Ford Racing suspension just like the Shelby GT500 has. Beautiful Blue parts Fit just like the stock parts did. it took the Mustang Shop in Auburn 7+ hrs to install and finish alignment. all for $750 along with a J&M adjustable panhard bar installed (a must have part IMHO) dont forget the Eibach Camber Bolts for the Alignment. this handling package absolutely cured this stallion of all its bad habits. i went with the medium setting on the front Sway bar. the car now handles great. very flat and pretty much feels like a race car. Probably the best bang for the buck for any stock mustang. It has the Horsepower and now it has the handling too. next a 4.10 Gear set.

It's not a lincoln, don't treat it like one.

I took two hours to install this with a lift in the shop with all my tools. and I had help to get it done in that amount of time. The ride will make your kidneys bleed but that is to be expected when you want performance suspension. It's suppose to feel rough and beat you up. The car stays a lot flatter now and the adjustable front sway bar is pretty cool. The fact that the car is lowered is barely noticeable and you need an adjustable panhard bar to complement this kit if you wanna do it right. But overall this did improve the handling of the car for a decent price as compared to competitors.

    Ford Racing Handling Pack

Who knows best your Mustang than Ford Racing? ... Only this says it all! I wanted a package that will be from the same brand and stick with Ford, so this is why I got this pack. The ride is finally like it's suppose to be for a 400+HP Mustang! It's on rails now! 1" drop is just perfect for me, 1,5 would be too much and a pain to drive in some places. I can only recommend Ford Racing products, and this Handling Pack is the right set up you need for your Mustang! American Muscle was great, delivered that huge box at the shop where I got it installed.
