Description
More Power. Get your V6-powered Pony the respect it deserves with the improved power, sound, and looks of this Ford Racing Power Pack. This power pack will add up to 15 peak horsepower and up to 17 lb-ft of torque for power you can really feel, both off the line and down the stretch.

Complete Upgrade Kit. This Ford Racing Power Pack comes complete with a Ford Racing Cold Air Intake Kit, Ford Racing True Dual Exhaust Kit, Performance Oil Filter, and a ProCal tool with performance tune.

Cold Air Intake. Utilizing OEM quality components the Ford Racing Cold Air Intake Kit mounts in the factory location and features a high flow molded plastic bucket with a unique air tube to provided improved airflow and enhanced sound.

True Dual Exhaust. The Ford Racing Dual Cat-Back is made from durable aluminized 409 stainless steel and features the same chambered muffler design as the 2008 Bullitt for superior sound and looks. The mufflers are finished with dual 3.5" polished 304 stainless steel tips for show-ready muscle car style. This complete kit includes an X-pipe for improved power and aggressive sound.

50 State Legal. Unlike the competitors, all Ford Racing Power Upgrade Packages are 50 state emissions legal.

Application. This Ford Racing Power Pack is specifically designed for use on the 2005 to 2009 4.0 V6 Mustangs with either a manual or automatic transmission.

Shipping Note: This product can not be shipped to an APO/FPO, Guam or US Virgin Island addresses.    

Technical Note. Due to multiple power-train calibrations, online registration (with Ford Racing) is required to receive the ProCal calibration delivery tool after purchase. Installation of the exhaust requires minor modification of the rear bumper cover to accomodate the exhaust tips - a template is included with this kit.

  • The Pro-Cal tuner does do engine related DTC's. You can read Continuous memory, and I do believe so KOEO codes. That is only the ones that will turn on your check engine light. (PCM codes, P- Codes, etc.) You actually use the tuner to check for codes before programming to make sure everything is good to go for programming. Right in the instructions.

  • In my opinion, over a longer period of time, you will be disappointed with that tuner. Bama SCT tuners are by far the best in quality and you have free tunes for life. So no matter what mod you plan on doing in the future, you can have a tune specifically for that mod so you can get the absolute most performance gains out of it. also, the "bundles" or packages usually come out to the same as if you buy them separately. Idk about this kit though and what it comes with and how much it costs. but going with an sct tuner is definitely the way to go. I have the Bama SCT ITSX tuner and its on heck of a device. just plug 'n play my friend. you see everything before your eyes. Best thing is, you know your paying good money for a GOOD product. Backed by their free tunes for life, whats not to love? Hope this helps.

    Enhanced Power and Performance

    Buying the combined package saved money, which is always good. For someone like me that is not mechaniclly inclined or has not done this before, it should say some where in big letters you had to register your car's part number before they send the chip for the tuner. It was a short delay in getting it installed. It was at my house with in a day or two. My mechanic installed the system and my husband picked it up and tested it out. He then called me and I knew by the ecxitment in his voice he was impressed with the performence and increase in power . It was also an increase in gas mileage. Keep in mind that you will want to run higher octane gas in it, is the only draw back but now the price of gas is going down. Would defiantely recommend this product.

    FRPP 07 V6

    So I was really tired of having a single exhaust and Y pipe on my mustang, and for everything that comes here I figured why not give it a shot. For the exhaust: Installation was a lot easier than I expected, took me and another person about three hours to do it all using only jacks, jack stands, and ramps. Be aware that you will need rather large jacks to get old pipes out and the new pipes in, something you definitely want to be sure of before you cut into your pipes. The manual says that if clearance is an issue you can cut the pipe to get it off, but I don't know how one would put the new pipes in. Interestingly the mufflers have a small tit towards the end connecting to the pipe that slides into the pipe, but the passenger side didn't fit at all. Comparing it to the old muffler the position is way off, and actually made it impossible to fit the muffler onto the pipe! We had to take a grinder and completely grind it away. Occassionally I get a rather audible rattle from the passenger exhaust through the body, but it is only heard inside the car when the windows are up and the radio is low (resonating throughout the body). I'll have to look into that and see what can fix it. The sound is great, it's not a V8 sound but I wasn't pretending to have one. The black metal pieces that go on the bumper look fantastic (since I already have blackout pieces too), and it definitely makes the entire rear end look and sound much better. It's not an obnoxiously loud sound, but definitely gives a throatier sound a muscle car should have, and quite a roar if you slam the throttle. As for the tuner/CAI: CAI was extremely simple to install, 5 minutes maximum. The tuner was also simple. A little disappointing you only get one tune though. Also I just recieved new tires, and when trying to reprogram it for them I keep getting an error, so I'll have to call the hotline to get it fixed. OVERALL: Great purchase, something you can definitely do at your own home if you have the basic tools.

    Great Kit!

    This is a great first step for your stock V6 Mustang. The exhaust kit went on easy and looks fabulous!!! The CAI took 15 minutes to install. The tuning process was also easy - and the results were excellent. Much more responsive car!! Great job - and this kit is a great value considering what you would pay for an exhaust, CAI, and tuning kit separately.

    Pros/Cons

    I have a lot to say about the FRPP. One thing i would warn other buyers about is that the ford racing tune thats included in the kit and is needed for the CAI to function requires a minimum 91 octane rating, so be prepared to buy super premium. Despite this hangup with increasing gas prices, my stang's computer is telling me that my mileage went up from 14.7 to 16.3 mpg, city driving. So its reasonable to say that mileage has increased slightly. But whether it was worth the cost is to be determined. The dual exhaust was a great edition, a noticeable increase in my vehicle's sound, not to mention that the rear trim pieces that came with the kit look crisp with the shiney exhaust. Overall i believe the price of this kit was a little high, but you have to consider that it is a genuine ford product, E/O sticker included for emissions testing. Ford offers a solid performance tune, as they should know best because the mustang is their car.

    V6 Ford Racing Power Pack

    It really added a boost to my pony. I thought that the exaust would be louder, but it has a nice tone and looks great. When my "Y" pipe was cut off, it had the wight on it to help dampen vibration. The new pipes have a bit of vibration to them at certain RPMs and need a wight added to cut down on the pipe vibration. In all it was a great purchase. I love it.

    What a difference

    Product went on without a hitch. Had to move one hangar on left muffler. CAI went quick. Pro/cal tuner downloaded new program quick and easy. All together made a huge difference, feels like a different car. Exhaust isn't as loud as most other aftermarkets. That is a definite plus for some people.

    Ford Racing Power Pack

    The dual exhaust was easy to install, and really makes the V-6 sound a whole lot better. The cold air package was also very easy and took all of about 10 minutes to install. The combination makes the Mustang V-6 more responsive, and I would recommend it to any V-6 owner who wants more response and sound out of their car.

    Love it!

    I am so glad I went with this pack. Was getting ready to go after market but glad I didn't. My muffler guy said the quality of Fords steel is far more superior to what any aftermarket puts out and should last about 20 years. They also make sure your Procal Tuner is tuned the right way. Ford knows there are doing. Besides the quality it just looks and feels great. I can feel the power increase. It's not as loud as I hoped it to be while in car, but outside you can defiantly hear it, and it's a good quality sound doesn't sound cheap. I also get allot more stares. Only thing I didn't like was that when the package came it didn't have the Procal Tuner in it and that's because you have to register your purchase with Ford first then they send you your Procal. Couldn't install the cold air intake without the tuner so I had to drive around for a few days with just the pipes installed. Other than that I totally recommend this product.

    Great Kit, Great Value, but not perfect

    This kit is a great value compared to buying everything individually. Installation was easy once I got the car on a lift. The trim pieces actually took longer to install than the exhaust. If you try to use a floor jack you'll need a big one because you'll have to lift higher than 2 feet to get the midpipes on. Instructions are not real clear on where to cut the y-pipe because of vague pictures and the y-pipes not being symmetric. I figured it out but it took about 20 minutes of mocking and measuring. Once things were cut, & stock pipes removed, it went fast. The stock muffler uses 2 hangers, new ones use 2. Remove the extra hanger & save the bolts, you'll need them for the one of the left side hangers. You must loosen/remove headpipes from manifolds and no gaskets are provide. Trim pieces were a pain to cut fascia properly & getting the top screws in were a real PITA, but are worth the effort, they look nice. I bought a pair of HD nitride coated scissors from Home Depot to trim the fascia. Intake was a breeze. Programmer arrived very quickly from Ford Racing after entering our ECM barcode on Ford's website. Instructions for the programmer were useless but we figured it out. Car runs great, sound is quieter than I expected but you definitely know its there. nice tone, slight drone with automatic but not annoying. Lots more low end torque & better HP above 4000 rpms. Now I'm getting a P0430 Cat efficiency code. Will call Ford 's techline to see what the if they can resolve. Overall, a great kit but the check engine light is more than a little irritating.

    V6 PERFORMANCE PACK

    All parts are stamped by FORD however, this product is NOT made by FORD. The exhaust bolted up fairly easily, the toughest part is cutting out the exhaust tips, that took about an hour and a half, but as you can see, it came out PERFECT! At a bare minimum you want to run 91 Octane, I have noticed a substantial increase in gas mileage and as far as stepping on the gas pedal for performance, IT GOES! Great product, not too loud, and the performance is there, and very noticeable.
