FRPP Blk/Brshd Shift Knob

Great item, adds perfect touch to interior. Be careful not to overtighten to keep knob tight with proper alignment (easy to correct by putting some putty on end of shifter to act as a "stop" when re-installing

Q & A (1 Questions, 3 Answers) Ask a Question

Is the top area of this knob larger than the original equipment knob I find the top of the grip of the original shifter a bit too small for my hand. Is this one larger at the top, enabling me to get a better grip? I have an SR Performance short shifter on order and I want a sporty, solid feel to the hand grip. Would a "cue ball" type of knob be a better fit or my 2000 GT 4.6???? Any comments would beappreciated.

  • This shift knob (Ford Racing) is a bit larger and heavier than the stock. To me it felt a lot bigger actually the first time I used it, but very comfortable and precise. So far everyone that has driven my car commented on the difference for the better. I used the "cue ball" on one of my friends Stang… even he decided he likes the knob in my car now. I hope this helps!

    Excellent shift knob

    July 28, 2010

I bought this shift knob to use in the summer, when the stock Mach 1 shift knobs gets way too hot. The shift knob fit perfect on the stock shifterand feels very comfortable to grip. I also tried a few different SKs (white ball and a slightly smaller leather knob), but this one feels best in my hand and looks like it could have come stock on the car. Very much worth the money.

This was a Christmas gift for my boyfriend, and he absolutely fell in love with it, he says it looks great, feels great, and helps shift a lot quicker/easier. Thanks American Muscle, you're the best! :)

    Everybody notices it somehow.

    November 24, 2012

These was one of the easiest parts to install on my car. I don't know why people notice it so much, but they do. It looks amazing. It's a little thicker than stock which is nice to grip on. It's a great way to dress up the interior with minimal effort. I'm so glad I got this. If you don't know how to get it off, just turn the stock one counter clockwise and screw this one down clockwise. The install should take about 5 minutes.

    looks stock

This knob looks great. My stock knob has some wear marks from a lot of use and this will replace it while still looking original.

    Cheapest I Could Find

    January 27, 2012

Knob looks great. Even though it's supposed to be a match to the later model sn95 charcoal interiors, it looks great with the older model black interiors too. Brushed aluminum insert looks awesome. Feels much better than the stock plastic knob. Doesn't get overly cold or hot when left in the sun/cold. Bit pricey but it was definitely worth it. Not much more to say.

Charcoal leather & Brushed Shift Knob

    January 26, 2011

VERY PLEASED with this product. NOTED that it is produced by FORD RACING DIVISION which I'm sure is why it fits perfectly ! ALSO the " charcoal " color leather wrap matches the shift boot exactly as if factory !! Worth the money and it has a much better feel shifting !! ALSO pleased with your shipping box and fast service. Definitely would order from you again. By the way, I used to live in the Philadelphia area many years ago !!
