Description
Monitor Critical Systems. Adding gauges to your pony's interior is an important way to monitor critical data. And the best way to house them is with this dual gauge pod for your A-pillar. This gauge pillar accepts two 2 1/16" diameter aftermarket gauges (not included). It puts those gauges right where you can see them without blocking your view of the road or other gauges.

Flawless Fit and Finish. Unlike other products on the market, this pod actually replaces your entire A-pillar for a seamless finish this is not a cheap screw/stick on gauge holder like other companies sell. And because it matches the OEM color and texture, it blends with your OEM interior. Since it's available in the factory correct color, you don't have to paint it - saving you money and time, so you can get right to installation.

Quality. This injection-molded piece offers superior durability and quality over the competition. Important note to 2003 owners: In the middle of the 2003 production year the OEM driver's and passenger's pillars were changed to meet new federal safety regulations. To guarantee a perfect fit, you may remove the stock pillar and reference the part number on the back. Use the first two digits of the part number to determine the correct gauge pillar for your Mustang.

Does this pillar come with 2 different gauges? If so what are the specifications, like is one air fuel ratio or what two does it come with?

  • This is just a dual gauge pillar that you can install in combination with two 2-1/16" gauges of your choice, but they are sold separately.

Beautiful pillar, but fitment could be better.

    September 28, 2013

I bought this pillar to put my AutoMeter gauges in, based on the fact that it is the best looking aftermarket pillar on the market, hands down. The finish was perfect, just as described. It matched my charcoal interior flawlessly. The holes that allowed the gauge wiring to pass from the "bullet" to the pillar, were MUCH too small, however. My wideband 02 sensor had a small, rectangular plug going into the back of the gauge. In the documentation included with the pillar, it stated the pillar was designed to work with Autometer gauges, so I know the brand was not the problem. To fix this, I had to take a Dremel tool and elongate the holes significantly. All in all, maybe 30 minutes of work modifying the pillar. This modification was not difficult, but, I feel like a product with this kind of price tag should not need to be modified.

Speed of Sound A-pillar pods are awesome!

    December 05, 2012

The color and texture match the stock trim perfectly and the gauge pods look like they came with the car. I put a pair of custom SVT speedhut gauges in and I couldn't be happier. I only wish Speed of Sound made a small custom steering column pod. My autometer steering column pod looks out of place and doesn't blend in like the Speed of Sound pillars. Some installation tips: As with all custom parts, some modification may be necessary. I had to put some rtv on the outside of my gauges for a snug fit. The plugs on my guages did not fit through the holes in the pods, so I had to enlarge them slightly with a Dremel. It took me about 2 min so no big deal. Be patient when installing the A-pillar. The gauge pods may hit the dash before the clips closest to the dash are in. You may need to twist the A-pillar towards the windshield and make sure the gauge wires are neatly tucked away. Once you get the lower clip in, it's a snap.

    Best looking pod out there.

    December 07, 2011

This pillar pod is easily the best looking pod available. It blends in perfectly with the interior. Installation can be tricky if your gauges have large wire bundles but the wire routing holes can be carefully enlarged with a file.
