Features
  • More accurate temperature readings
  • Perfect for force inducted Mustangs
  • Genuine Ford Motorcraft parts
  • Fits 2005-2010 Mustangs
Description
Accurate Readings. The IAT (Intake Air Temperature) Sensor that comes in the stock factory MAF is perfectly fine for naturally aspirated daily drivers. But in force induction applications like a supercharger or turbocharger the factory MAF sensor housing will become "heat soaked" and the IAT sensor will read much hotter than the actual intake air temperature which can cause power robbing detonation. By relocating the IAT sensor "higher upstream" after the intercooler the ECU will see more accurate temperature readings allowing you to make more power.

Ford Motorcraft Quality. This Intake Air Temperature Sensor Kit is made up of genuine Ford Motorcraft parts that are constructed from high quality OEM materials for a perfect fit and reliable maintenance-free operation.

Application. This Intake Air Temperature Sensor Relocation Kit is designed for use on 2005 to 2010 Mustangs equipped with an aftermarket supercharger or turbocharger. Including V6, GT, Bullitt and Shelby models.

    Intake Air Temp Install

This kit is a must have for the early Ford lightning MASM which has no air temp sensor incorporated into it like the stock MASMs do. If you need to relocate and need a separate air temp sensor then look no further! Installation is simple and the sensor works great. To install on a 2004 Gt. simply clip off the two outer wires on my 04 they were grey and the other was grey with a red stripe. Other years may vary so just double check and be sure you have the right wires. The sensor comes with about a foot or so of wire for relocating. If you need to go further in length as I did, simply pick up the same gauge wire and add how much you need. Note* Be sure to solder all wire connections it only takes a couple of minutes but gives you a secure and lasting connection, also be sure and tape or heat shrink all connections. Next drill a hole close to your throttle body in the intake pipe slightly smaller than the 3/8 NPT that is "pipe thread" and cut your threads with a 3/8 NPT Tap. In my case no additional bung was necessary, the intake pipe had plenty of meat to accept enough threads to secure the sensor firmly. Next screw the sensor in and attach the wire connector and you are done!Total time approx 30 - 45 mins. not rushing. This part works flawlessly on my Vortec Supercharged 04 Gt. I highly recommend this part!!

Everything you need to relocate your IAT!

Description is a little sparse. This is a Ford OEM sensor along with the correct wire connector. The threads on this sensor are 3/8" NPT, which is what you will need to install this sensor on a manifold or an intake pipe. Just wire the sensor into your MAF wires and you're done! No CELs, works 100% and doesn't make the car run funny. ECU accepts the signal as if nothing changed.

    perfect product for increased horsepower

This product absolutely is a must for anyone looking to increase horsepower, change the tune on their Stang or adding a supercharger or CAI. Gives you realistic air temperature before it enters the throttle body. Well worth the investment of a few $$$.
