Ask a Question

cat-back dual exhaust fitment Does this fit on a pypes cat back tail pipes for 2008 GT? Of course I am changing the headers to JBA LT.

  • As long as that cat-back system has a diameter of 2.5 inches, it will work with the JBA Catted H-Pipe (05-10 GT w/ Long Tube Headers) no problem.

Answer This Question

Will this work? I have a 2010 GT with some bolt-ons and the Pypes Pype Bomb axle-back exhaust system. Looking into LT Headers and shorty H mid-pipes but Pypes does not make a catted shorty H mid-pipe. Will this mid-pipe fit with the Pypes LT Headers? (Looking for catted shorty H mid-pipe due to o/r mid-pipe would be too loud with LT headers and my Pype Bombs axle-back)

  • The JBA Catted H-Pipe (05-10 GT w/ Long Tube Headers) will require JBA Natural Long Tube Headers (05-10 GT) item #23109 as these items are made to fit each other. The JBA Catted H-Pipe will not fit the Pypes LT Headers.

Would this fit my 05 v6 with pace setter long tube headers? If so what should I use in with them?

  • The JBA Catted H-Pipe (05-10 GT w/ Long Tube Headers) will only work with the GT model Mustangs equipped with Pacesetter Long Tube Headers.

Can this be used with a v6 dual exhaust conversion kit?

  • No unfortunately. This only bolts up properly to an 05-10 GT and would require Long Tube Headers. You need a V6 mid-pipe such as the MAC Cut & Clamp listed below to convert to dual exhaust. Hope this helps!

How many O2 extensions do I need? JBA Long Tube Header and JBA Catted H-Pipe. Do I need 2 extensions or 4?? Thanks Fabian

  • You need four. Mine came with two in the box. Then ordered the other two. The ones that came with the kit were perfect. The ones I ordered had two wires crossed in one loom. But easy fix as long as you know to look. 4-with headers and cats.

Answer This Question

is a tune required for this?

  • I wasn't required to tune my Mustang's computer when I installed my aftermarket X pipe with high-flow cats. It is worth noting however that High-flow cats will make your Mustang much louder than it was with stock cats. MUCH louder.

    Sounds great, very loud.

I installed these short h pipe with the jba longtube headers and the pypes bomb catback system. All I can say is wow. very loud and it woke up my stang thats for sure, the install for me was a pain, the hard part was the headers install, after that it went ok. just take your time, I did buy 2 packs of the o2 extensions for the headers and h pipe. I would go with the catted h pipe not the off road. I know its like $200 more but its worth it. It still is very very loud with a great tone. I would buy this again. Oh and my engine light did come on but I turned it of with by bama tuner. It is very smoky the first day of driving because the headers and h pipe are very greasy, but high temps burned the grease out. no I have no problems, oh and I get 2 mpg better in town on average. Make sure to get a tune for it.

    good sound

was a bit of a pain to line up with mounts and headers but with a little bit of pushing and wiggling they will fit. the O2 sensors either need to face down or up i have mine facing up to keep them from getting broke off as easy. the cats are a lot smaller then stock and dont know if my car will still pass smog in Ca but ill find out soon enough. overall a great product when matched with the headers and im getting better gas milage

    Great Cats but mislabeled

Catted H pipe comes in two pieces, one labeled PASS and the other with a warning Label. You would think PASS stood for passenger side. After 40 minutes of banging and cussing, I swapped sides and they slide right in. So, don't know what PASS stands for. Overall great fit and no leaks. If you pair these with the LT headers, the supplied O2 sensor extensions will be used on the forward O2 Sensors. An additional two long or two pairs of short extensions will be needed to reach the post cat O2 sensors.

    Goes with the Headers

Fit and finish on this h-pipe is excellent. The sound is old school muscle, all the way. With the JBA long tubes installed, the cats ended up right under the front seats, beneath the heat shields. The whole system is really thought out, and very well made.

    JBA H pipe

Great product, *need to buy O2 extensions which they don't tell you until you open the box and see in the directions.* I took it to the ford dealership and they had to wait a day for the O2 extensions to come in, so go ahead and order it so it all comes at once. I love this product and will def buy JBA again, 3/4 the cost and GREAT product!

Great quality and sound ... I wish the kit had rubber hangers for the h pipe that came with it. Nice piece though, American Muscle is excellent.

    Awesome product!

Even with the high cost for this h-pipe it was worth it to keep my mustang legal to pass emissions. These go perfect with the JBA long tubes and the sound is amazing, not too loud but definitely not quiet either. I would definitely buy from JBA again, headers and h-pipe are great. And definitely need to buy a set of o2 sensor extensions to move the sensors back further.
