V6 True Dual Exhaust Conversion. Converting your V6 Pony to a true dual exhaust is easy with a MAC Performance Cut and Clamp Mid-pipe. Just install this MAC Pro Chamber Mid-pipe along with a 2005-2010 GT catback exhaust, to give your Mustang an aggressive throaty V8 sound and an increase in power.

Aggressive Muscle Car Rumble. The MAC Performance cut and clamp Mid Pipe not only gives your V6 Mustang a true dual exhaust, but with its unique Pro Chamber cross over design it adds a more aggressive muscle car rumble to the sound of your exhaust, that a standard Y-Pipe just can't match.

Reuses Stock Cats. The installation of the MAC Performance Cut & Clamp Pro Chamber Mid-Pipe requires cutting and removing the stock Y-Pipe, and reuses the factory catalytic converters saving you money. Clamps and complete instructions are provided.

High Quality Construction. Constructed from durable 2.25" to 2.5" diameter stainless steel tubing, this MAC Performance mid pipe is CNC mandrel bent to ensure maximum exhaust flow, so there are no kinks to rob you of power.

Is it compatible with my current Boomtube cat-back? I currently have the 2005-10 MAC Boomtube catback - bolted to the y-pipe. It is the same as this kit: http://www.americanmuscle.com/mac-dual-exhaust-0509v6.html Is this mid-pipe able to fit? Thanks!

  • You will be able to use the MAC Cut & Clamp Pro Chamber Mid Pipe (05-10 V6) with the MAC Dual Exhaust Conversion Kit (05-10 V6) item #40044 (www.americanmuscle.com/mac-dual-exhaust-0509v6.html) as long as you remove the Y-Pipe and retain the over-axle flow tubes.

With MAC CUT CLAMP PRO CHAMBER MID PIPE installed in my Mustang V6 2010, will it also allow me to install a GT dual exhaust system? And will it affect the Pacesetter ling tube header and the pacesetter off-road Y-pipe?

  • Hi, This MAC Cut & Clamp Pro Chamber Mid Pipe will allow you to use a GT cat-back, this Mid pipe requires cutting and removing the stock Y-Pipe then clamping this in its place, so It can be used with the PaceSetter Black Long Tube Headers but it will require some custom exhaust fabrication to complete the connection between the headers and mid pipe.

Will this H pipe be able to replace the X pipe of my Pypes mid-muffler true dual exhaust system on my 07 v6?

  • The MAC Cut & Clamp Pro Chamber Mid Pipe (05-10 V6) will be able to fit up to the X-Pipe that is included in the Pypes Mid-Muffler True Dual Exhaust (05-10 V6) item #20126 (www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-midmuffler-truedual-catback-0510v6.html) as the piping size will be the same at 2.5".

I want to get this exhaust with SLP axle backs, but I understand it needs to be paired with a cat back system... What would I need to finish the exhaust setup if I just get the axle back and this mid pipe?

  • To finish your setup if you are going to stick with an axle-back exhaust and the MAC Cut & Clamp Pro Chamber Mid Pipe (05-10 V6), you would need flow tubes from the mid pipe to the rear axles.

  • The MAC Cut & Clamp Pro Chamber Mid Pipe (05-10 V6) will not require anything else for the install. All you would need is a GT dual cat back for the installation of this kit.

    Best exhaust for a v6

    I got the prochamber with the mac boom tubes. This is the best sounding exhaust for the 4.0 v6. I get compliments all the time. It does have some drone but i like the drone and so does every one who rides with me. it really sounds muscular. I have heard v6s with flowmasters and magnaflows and they sound like four cylinders. not with this exaust. my neighbor said he hears me coming from quite some distance. And when i was changing my diff fluid in my newly swapped gt500 rear end, they had a 05-09 gt at ford and we started mine and the customers car and not only was mine louder at idle but all the guys in the back were impressed how well mine sounded. it has a nice rumble, sounds like way more hp than it has.

    Good product

    It took about 2 hrs, most the time was to remove stock exhaust with little time spent on install. Good product for the money. It is loud and has a lot of drone by it's self, I suggest a Gt catback exhaust kit to accompany it. It has a nice deep sound close to that of a v-8. Fuel milage increased 1-3 mpg along with a better power curve.

    the rumble of this product is so much better then stock. This and the Pypes pipe-bomb exhaust go well together.

    Best V6 Conversion Midpipe

    The MAC Prochamber midpipe is the best H-pipe out there for a V6 conversion. I'm a very picky person when it comes to the sound of my exhaust; the loudness, tone, note, and performance always plays a big role in the right sounding exhaust system. I decided to pair this up with the MAC boom tubes, and it sounds great. The Prochamber gives the rich, deep tone that is not outrageously loud and annoying. From the chambered H-pipe it gives off a deep rumble that you cannot match to any other plain H or X pipe conversion kits.

    HP sound

    I would recomend this product to any with a V6 mustang, i noticed it adds a really nice sound to my car and makes it idle sound alot deeper.This is a great product and well worth the money.

    nice tone

    The Mac pro chamber gave my v6 mustang a more defined idle and an awesome sound at acceleration. It's set up with two flowmaster 40, although it did quiet down the mufflers. Over all I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

    Easy install for excellent results.

    Hard to judge the install time when your doing the full conversion to dual exhaust from single. But after measuring and rechecking before cutting off existing chamber the hardest part was cutting through pipe. After that the install is a breeze. Great sound coming from the exhaust. People are amazed that it's a V6 and not the gas guzzling V8.

    Pricey but smart choice!

    Put these on with some flowmaster super 10s on v6z Easily best sounding sixxer out there! Id take this over a stock gt sound.. Can feel the pickup in both the low and high end better now. Highly recommend

    A must for any V6!

    What an awesome product for any V6 owner. Previously had an x pipe and this thing makes it sound like I had a 4 cylinder. Now it sounds more like a V8. The exhaust note is much more defined and throatier. It seems to me the x pipe was restricting the flow of air and the MAC Pro chamber has opened it up giving me a much smoother ride. Overall a great product offered by American Muscle.
