Mach 1 Grille Delete & Chin Spoiler Kit (99-04 GT, V6; 99-01 Cobra)

Hey everyone I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m taking a look at a product that many Mustang owners believe should have been standard from the factory. Talking about this Mach 1 chin spoiler for your 99-04 V6 and GT Mustang. The spoiler is made from durable, impact resistant materials and it needs to be as it’s a little closer to the road, which makes it more susceptible to road hazards, curbs, speed bumps, whatever. Now I’m not saying it’s impervious to those things, however I will mention it probably withstands the abuse a lot better than some of its competitors. The kit comes with all necessary hardware needed to install. Now the spoiler itself is shipped rolled so you’ll want to let it sit out for about 24 hours, just to let it settle into shape before installing, now if you want to speed this process up a little bit, you could always hit it with a hair dryer, or maybe even a heat gun. The spoiler mounts to the underside of your stock bumper so you will need a drill, and some other basic hand tools, we just used an 11mm wrench, and a Philips head. Now you will make life a lot easier if you go ahead and get the front of the car up in the air a little bit, whether it be jack stands, ramps, a lift, whatever it may be but believe me you’ll thank me later. Install – pretty straightforward, should take you about 30 minutes. Now there’s a couple of different schools of thought pertaining to the install, some of you mentioned you like the look of the lip when its mounted flush with the front of your bumper, however if you’re trying to achieve the look of the true 03-04 Mach 1, then you want to recess the lip back about a ¼” like we did with our V6. Chances are if you’re already watching this video then you’re probably already aware of the fact that the front of these Mustangs looks a little unfinished, that’s where this Mach 1 chin spoiler really shines, it finishes off the front end of your New Edge Mustang perfectly....
