Description
Improves Exhaust Flow. Great alone or in combination with other mods, Magnaflow's clamp-on Tru-X X-Pipe will balance out your 2011-2014 GT's exhaust flow and maximize your 5.0's power and sound. In balancing out your exhaust flow, you'll see noticeable improvements in power and torque and maximize other mods.

Compatible With Stock Cats. The installation of this Magnaflow Clamp-On X-Pipe requires cutting the factory H-pipe and reuses the stock catalytic converters saving you money.

Stainless Steel Construction. Magnaflow uses durable mandrel bent 3" stainless steel tubing for improved exhaust flow and strength.

Application. This Magnaflow Clamp-On Tru-X X-Pipe is designed for use on the 2011-2014 5.0L GT Mustangs in combination with either an aftermarket or the stock factory GT dual catback exhaust system. Reuses the stock factory Catalytic Converters.

  • Totally up to you! This X-pipe will reuse your factory cats and will bolt up to your factory dual exhaust. Therefore, you can either replace your factory duals with a new catback system that would bolt directly to this mid-pipe or you can purchase the axle-back to simply change your mufflers and tips! If you are taking performance gains into consideration for your decision, I'd recommend the catback! Hope this helps!

Does this come with the clamps? I already have this x pipe and the Ford dealer damaged it along with one of the clamps that holds it on to the exhaust pipe. Will i need to buy new clamps or does it come with new ones?

  • It doesn't come with clamps. They based the kit on re-using the stock clamps. You are going to need a replacement clamp from Ford unless you can get the dealer to replace the one they damaged.

    Excellent fit & quality

    I was very pleased with this product. I wanted to get rid of the restrictive factory h-pipe but wanted to keep the catalytic converters and not increase the decibel level at normal speeds and it accomplished all that. At WOT it makes such a beautiful sound even my wife loves it! The only negative concerning the installation is that the muffler shop had to cut off the factory ball clamps on the upstream side thanks to Ford installing the fasteners on the inaccessible top side and Ford charges a ridiculous $62/clamp, thus the high installation fee. This is such a common complaint that It would be nice if Magnaflow offered their own cheaper clamps.

    GREAT BUT PRICEY

    This is a great sounding X pipe and it actually fits perfect. Sounds great with my FM Outlaws. As for power gains it's hard to say because I have done so many things to my car, but I know there are few more horses in there. It's a little pricey but it's a perfect fit, from a very good company. The quality is top notch!!! Very happy with it.

    Awesome sound!!!

    We combined the Tru-X X-pipe with the Magnaflow Competition Catback Exhaust. We have not taken it out on the road yet, there is still way too much salt out there, but I can't wait!!! The install time was only about 3 1/2 hours for a couple of backyard mechanics at a friends house with a lift, one more or less holding wrenches and pipes in place with the other doing all the work. We did not have to cut the stock pipes but the clamps were spot welded to tabs on the stock H-pipe. They were easily broken off and the remaining bits of the tabs attached to the clamps were ground off with a bench grinder. Word of caution. . . It is illegal in the state of Ohio to remove the cats. :(

    Magnaflow true x-pipe

    Love the 3 inch true x-pipe I ordered from AM. It gave the car a nice rumble sound. Not sure what the power gains might be.

    Best clamp on X pipe

    This X pipe sounded really Great once the resonators were removed,it has a hot rod rumble on wide open throttle and really screams when going under freeway under passes !!! It doesnt sound as deep as an H pipe of course but it has its own unique flavor :-)

    Expected better

    I received my x pipe a couple days after ordering it. No extra clamps for it though, had to reuse the factory clamps that came on the car for installation. I reused the factory clamps and got everything installed. Cranked it up and had an exhaust leak. The clamps that were closer to the cats are really small and didn't clamp down that good, had to get the shop to weld it in but the back clamps worked out great. As far as sound quality, I wasnt too pleased with it, more flow yes, but as far as sound not so good. So I cut the resonators out and gave me that sound I was looking for. For the power, if there was anything gained, its very little.
