Plug-in Mustang MIL Eliminators Installation Guide

The below installation instructions work for the following product:

Mustang Plug-in MIL Eliminators (96-04 GT)

Here at American Muscle, we're all about DIY (do it yourself). Of course, there's nothing wrong with seeking out a little bit of tech help prior to taking on an installation on your own. Our Mustang installation guides will provide valuable instructions and hopefully answer any how-to questions that you may have along the way.

Your kit will include two Plug in style MIL Eliminators.

Tools you will need:

• Utility Knife

1. Disconnect the negative ( - ) battery terminal.
   
   
2. Securely raise the vehicle to access the mid-pipe portion of your exhaust system.
   
   
3. Locate and unplug the wire loom from the rear most oxygen sensors. The rear O2 sensors are located after the catalytic converters on the mid-pipe.
   
   
4. Plug in the MIL eliminator to the corresponding connectors. One end will plug into the oxygen sensor and the other end will plug into the vehicles wire loom.
   
   

   NOTE: Depending on the year of your Mustang it may be nessecary to trim off the alignment tabs on the plastic connectors in order for them to plug in correctly. This can be easily done by using a utility knife or a pair of snips. (Please see image below)

   
   
5. Reconnect the negative ( - ) battery terminal and start the vehicle.
