Daily Driver Use Are the vibrations from the motor unbearable with solid mounts? Would they be really annoying in a daily driver?

  • Well i have many high hp mods to my car .After I installed full length headers i found the torque of motor was causing them to hit the firewall, with stoke motor mounts. So i installed the soild motor mounts, you really feel every vibration and it seems like every bolt is gonna come right off your car.So I decided to install the Urethane Motor Mounts (96-04 4.6L)..And love them! would recommend them if your gonna have your car as a daily driver over soilds. But its just one mans opinion.

    Rock solid!

I replaced the worn and torn stock motor mounts with m.m sold mounts. Fitment was great with no issues. No lag in power now! Dose make car vibrate more.

    Motor Mounts

very well made but if you go to install them with long tube headers your going to have to trim the corner on the left side mount to get it to fit if I had to do this on my back I would have put the stock ones back in but since I have a lift it wasn't too bad

    Great product

I have bought some other brands of solid motor mounts for other cars before and they are bad welds made of thin material. These motor mounts are thick plate steel bent and welded very nice, as a welder myself I tend to be picky and i am very impressed with these. Great product!

    Solid engine mounts

I've had these on my car for about a month now and I absolutely love them! The increased engine vibration was actually less than I expected but I wouldn't recommend this product for the casual daily driver. However, if you are looking for quicker launches and shifts without the usual engine and driveline flex, you definitely want these mounts!!!

    Great Quality

As with all of Maximum Motorsports products, these Solid Motor Mounts are top of the line. As simple as they may seem, it is vital that these mounts are quality pieces. MM once again does not fail to disappoint. And with AM's shipping, you simply cannot go wrong!

I absolutely love these motor mounts on my 02 GT. Shifting, acceleration, and torque feels MUCH smoother. Best mod I've ever done for under $100. I daily drive my car and the vibrations/noise is not bad at all. Great product

    Solid State

I was in need of motor mounts when I broke my ES mounts. I came across these ones and purchased them. Install for me took about an hour. Test drove my car after and instantly noticed a difference in throttle response and how much easier going through the gears was. I would definitely recommend these for better over all performance.

Easy to install straight bolt up. I recommend doing these first before installing headers.

    5.4 swap compatible

I ordered these when I did my 5.4L swap in my 02 GT convertible and they are perfect for what I was looking for. They are solid mounts so they do transfer some vibration to car so if your looking for a stock replacement these aren't for you. However of your looking for a mount that will hold the engine in place solid for drag these are for you. They work on both the 4.6 and the 5.4L

    solid mounts

Awesome product bolted right up no problem. While driving there is really no vibration but you can feel the torque when you get on it. No flex it's instant power.

Really plants the power to the ground!

You can really feel the difference in the way the car puts the power to the ground. Not an easy install if you dont have a lift, but well worth it.

    Mamimum Motorsports motor mounts

Overall these are great mounts but they did have a few flaws... The good: Top notch welding and powdercoating Look great! Came with nut and washer to secure to k member The Bad: I had to grind a bit off the mount to get it to fit on a 1999 cobra Teksid aluminum block The torque spec they printed on the install instructions was wrong!! It says to tighten the mount to block bolts to 52 ft/lbs. This caused one of the ford oem motor mount bolts I had to break off into the block. I had to extract it out. I am hoping it didnt damage the aluminum block threads... The correct torque spec for these bolts is 28-33 ft/lbs. So what they wrote is almost double! Beware of this fault... Overall these are much better than the UPR solid mounts I bought and send back. They didnt fit well at all and the bolt holes didnt even line up! Just beware of the torque spec error and these mounts should treat you great!

    Excellent quality

One of the great things about the modular engine is that it really doesn't transmit vibration to the chassis with these solid mounts. I have used these on several builds and never had an issue. They fit like stock and will never sag or rip like factory rubber mounts.

    Engine Mounts .

Mounts went in easy . Wouldn't recommend doing this task on the floor with a floor jack .. As long as your good with your hands you should be ok .
