What color does it come out Right now i have clear bulbs in my dash so my dash is blue because of the stock overlay in the cluster. The stock ones were yellow and with the blue overlay made that ugly greenish color. Does this best work with stock yellow bulbs or aftermarket clear bulbs? Thanks in advance

    2nd review 95 gt

Ok, so after a few months of having the overlays on my car, I have had a few problems. I am writing this so that people don't make the same mistakes I made. First, don't use glue stick to attach the overlays. Go ahead and use super glue or a stronger adhesive. I had to redo it and remove the needles which I don't recommend. Also, as it says in the directions, make sure the ground wire is securely attached, because it vibrates loose a lot easier than you think. I'm not saying don't buy them, just trying to lend a helping hand. Seriously, they look phenomenal and I would have done twice the work!

Installation was a breeze. Lights are bright and highly visible. I used the included dimmer knob (because I like to be able to dim just the other interior lights with the overlay lights at full blast), but you can probably remove the knob assembly and tie it in to dim with the rest of your dash lights.

    !!!95 GT WIRING!!!!

So this after noon I decided to install my white face overlays. first off what they give you as directions for the 94-95 wiring is wrong. RED CONNECTS TO THE CENTER SOLID BROWN WIRE. AND JUST GROUND TO THE CHASSIS. Soldier the leads its cleaner and way better. Hopefully this helps whoever install it. Also pull the needles out so it doesn't have a chance to snag

Awesome Appearance but had some questionable directions. Great product, poor written directions. I suggest using online installation guide! Other than that 8/10!

    Different Look

Was easier to install than I thought it would be. The light level adjustment little reostat do not just tuck it behind all the stuff. You will need to adjust it along with the dash light level to get the bust look. I drilled a hole and mounted it on the plastic bezel below the rear defroster switch.

    Looks pretty dam good

The directions that came with it are very questionable. After cutting up some wires trying to find out which one gives power i finally found it. And just a tip do not cut the black wire on the headlight harness, it is not ground. Instead just take out the rear defroster harness and splice into the black cable that did the trick for me. And the brown cable on the headlight harness worked. Depending on which batch you get some might fit perfectly others wont. If the overlay doesnt fit in do not shove it in, it'll just mess up the gauges. Instead just get a fork and take out which ever needle you need to take out, but remember where the the needle was before.

    95 GT

Very nice product! No Glue used at all and still perfect. Only issue was slipping over needles. Oil Pressure is messed up but the rest were saved. Try not to take your needles off! If they get pushed in too far, just grab a set of needle nose and gently pull them out, but not off. If you splice the hot into the red/blue wire, or the dimmer wire behind the light knob. Then, if you set the included dimmer to max, you can control it by your regular knob. I grounded it to the ground wire on the rear defroster and shoved everything behind there. Looks great, No Problems

    95 GT

The gauges look awesome in the day and even better at night. Putting them on was really easy, and the only trouble I ran into was hooking it up. I accidentally spliced into the dome light and the fog lights before I found the correct wire, but it wasn\'t a really big deal. My other complaint is that the included dimmer knob didn\'t come with a nut to secure it. Overall, the install was successful and the finished product was great

Adds So Much More to Your Dash

This for sure becomes an eye looker with how bright it is, when driving at night this is where this product truly shines. I honestly thought the pictures I seen from other customers were only bright due to image compression and such but man does this product actually shine. This seriously does add so much more to your dash, it will be an attention grabber. The install was easy, even with using the headlight dimmer instead of the included dimmer and the insert just slide right into place. I highly recommend buying this if you want your Stang to stand out more, or if you find your current gauges to be dull/dark. Now for 94 GT owners who would like to install the dimmer unit to the headlight control switch instead, take note of the follow text. I did not want to use the dimming unit that is install on the insert, so I set this up to use the dimming control from the headlight unit. First cut off the built in dimmer on this unit and tape the positive and negative from it together(we do this since we are going to use the dimming device from the headlight switch). Now take note of your headlight control unit, there should be a Blue/White Striped cable coming from it around one of the corners for 94 GTs. The Blue/White cable is the Dash Illumination Dimmer, this is the cable you want. So just simply cut that wire from the headlight control and install in the positive cable from this product to that Blue/White cable and tape it all back together. For the ground I just used the chassis ring as suggested in the instructions. Now just put the unit on the steering wheel to test it, twist your headlight knob and watch as the dimmer in it now controls your new speedometer insert. Hopefully this saves you time as I had to do tons of testing to finally find what cable was the dimming one.

    Great Improvement

I ordered the glow gauges to improve my old stock gauges. Install was quick and easy. Took less than an hour. Once installed it was a noticeable improvement. Really stands out during night time driving. I'm satisfied with the purchase, I also order the white inserts for the A/C panel.

    Great looking gauges.

The gauge covers were fairly easy to install however I did have to lift the gauge needles a little to properly clear the covers. I love the look they give my dash and WOW for the color while night driving. Well worth the money spent.

Looks good and a lot easier to read than stock.

Ive been wanting a set of these and they just so happened to be on sale so I snatched up a set. They have good instructions with them and really are pretty easy to install. Less than an hour. They look really good and they light up great at night. The stock ones were so hard to read especially at night. Only problems Ive had is the gauges started sticking and I had to pull the cluster back out and pull the needles back more. Unfortunately Im gonna have to do it one more time as my temp gauge is stuck again. I used a light coating of contact cement to keep them in place so they would stay flush against the stock gauges.

For the price a Must Have!

Lets start with shipping...Amazing as usual! Had it in my hand within 24 hours...as usual. I had this set in my 98 and got so many compliments that I had to get a set for my 94 vert. Made a nice addition to my clock replacement gauge pod. I love that there is an adjustable rheostat so I could match the color perfectly to my gauges and keep the lighting from glaring at night. Very easy to install. I replaced my destroyed odometer gear (common in early SN95's) while I had the cluster opened up. Also a great time to get the dust from behind the gauge lens and replace burnt bulbs. Wiring was straight up as usual just wire up the included transformer and plug in the three clusters. Really makes the dash pop.

    Beautiful. . .with adjustment

Beautiful overlay and looks great. Instructions said to clip in to grey wire for power but that is wrong. Ended up wiring it in the red with yellow stripe wire and that was the winner. Opening on the speedometer and tachometer that go over my needles were too small so I had to take a roll of sandpaper and trim them open to fit. Even after that, my speedometer is sticking some, so I have to trim it more. I'm a pro at taking apart this cluster now, since this problem has made me adjust it 3 times. Blah! The white is bright and looks great and the blue at night is stunning and really give the car a more modern dashboard. Overall I'm pleased but the dial diameter needs to be enlarged, so test your gauges to make sure they spin with no drag before you seal it up and put it back in the dash.
