What color does it come out Right now i have clear bulbs in my dash so my dash is blue because of the stock overlay in the cluster. The stock ones were yellow and with the blue overlay made that ugly greenish color. Does this best work with stock yellow bulbs or aftermarket clear bulbs? Thanks in advance

  • It doesnt use your stock bulbs, or aftermarket bulbs. it has LED strips in the Gauge face that you wire into your lights. It is very bright and blue. still wish they had red...

will gauges still work if lights are out on dash? The lights under or around my tach don't work...a few other bulbs are out as well on my dash. Will this effect the lighting with The new gauges? Should I replace all my bulbs before installing the new gauges?

    2nd review 95 gt

Ok, so after a few months of having the overlays on my car, I have had a few problems. I am writing this so that people don't make the same mistakes I made. First, don't use glue stick to attach the overlays. Go ahead and use super glue or a stronger adhesive. I had to redo it and remove the needles which I don't recommend. Also, as it says in the directions, make sure the ground wire is securely attached, because it vibrates loose a lot easier than you think. I'm not saying don't buy them, just trying to lend a helping hand. Seriously, they look phenomenal and I would have done twice the work!

Installation was a breeze. Lights are bright and highly visible. I used the included dimmer knob (because I like to be able to dim just the other interior lights with the overlay lights at full blast), but you can probably remove the knob assembly and tie it in to dim with the rest of your dash lights.

    !!!95 GT WIRING!!!!

So this after noon I decided to install my white face overlays. first off what they give you as directions for the 94-95 wiring is wrong. RED CONNECTS TO THE CENTER SOLID BROWN WIRE. AND JUST GROUND TO THE CHASSIS. Soldier the leads its cleaner and way better. Hopefully this helps whoever install it. Also pull the needles out so it doesn't have a chance to snag

    Amazing Appearance

Awesome Appearance but had some questionable directions. Great product, poor written directions. I suggest using online installation guide! Other than that 8/10!

    Different Look

Was easier to install than I thought it would be. The light level adjustment little reostat do not just tuck it behind all the stuff. You will need to adjust it along with the dash light level to get the bust look. I drilled a hole and mounted it on the plastic bezel below the rear defroster switch.

    95 GT

Very nice product! No Glue used at all and still perfect. Only issue was slipping over needles. Oil Pressure is messed up but the rest were saved. Try not to take your needles off! If they get pushed in too far, just grab a set of needle nose and gently pull them out, but not off. If you splice the hot into the red/blue wire, or the dimmer wire behind the light knob. Then, if you set the included dimmer to max, you can control it by your regular knob. I grounded it to the ground wire on the rear defroster and shoved everything behind there. Looks great, No Problems

    95 GT

The gauges look awesome in the day and even better at night. Putting them on was really easy, and the only trouble I ran into was hooking it up. I accidentally spliced into the dome light and the fog lights before I found the correct wire, but it wasn\'t a really big deal. My other complaint is that the included dimmer knob didn\'t come with a nut to secure it. Overall, the install was successful and the finished product was great

    Looks pretty dam good

The directions that came with it are very questionable. After cutting up some wires trying to find out which one gives power i finally found it. And just a tip do not cut the black wire on the headlight harness, it is not ground. Instead just take out the rear defroster harness and splice into the black cable that did the trick for me. And the brown cable on the headlight harness worked. Depending on which batch you get some might fit perfectly others wont. If the overlay doesnt fit in do not shove it in, it'll just mess up the gauges. Instead just get a fork and take out which ever needle you need to take out, but remember where the the needle was before.
