This is a outstanding addition to your mustang, very nice piece! The paint (torch red) was a perfect match and the fit was outstanding. I couldn't be happier!

Fitment I have a 07 Mustang V6. would it fit on my car because the only thing different with the GT and V6 is the engine. I thought the actual body is the same. However i might be wrong, so please help me.

  • Unfortunately, this CDC Chin Spoiler is only meant for the GT. We do carry a CDC for your V6 Mustang though! I have added the links for the CDC and a few other options below if you'd like to check them out!

Durability? Being that the mid section of the spoiler is held on by double stick, will is hold together during a high speed run?

  • i had to have my front end repainted...so i only had a 2 inch peice of tape to help support...i also only had push pins in the fender liner since my car still had v6 wheel liner at the time...i still hit 120 and the thing did not move....so really rugged with all the tape, the push pin binder that goes in under neath bumper, and the screws in the wheel well...i think it would hold up to 160+ easily....if the adhesive promoter is used.....i didnt use any...but i was taking it off...will be using it when i do final install

How can you get the ends of the spoiler painted? Ive seen many pictures of this spoiler even under the photo gallery where people have only the ends of the spoiler painted and the middle stays black. Does American Muscle do this or what?

  • AM only paints it one color......I can recommend if you want it painted....get it the color you want....and if you want to try out the black in the middle look....you can try PlastiDip....it is readily available in a matte black at any home depot or lowes....just tape it off and spray it one thin coat at a time...waiting 10 minutes in between...about 4 coats should do it...removing the tape asap...if you dont like the look you may remove it by letting it dry...and just peel it off or if it becomes to difficult a pressure washer will strip it right off and it wont damage the paint

    I'm satisfied...

    October 09, 2010

I followed the instructions and had the whole job done in under 30 minutes. Turn the wheel to the left to remove/replace the screws in the left wheel well, you will reach behind the inside of the tire...A "stubby" phillips will let you do the job with the wheel turned either way. Love the new look, and the fact the spoiler can be dry fit first...

    Fits tight, looks great

    November 11, 2009

I purchased mine painted because the paint process is critical on this material. It has to stretch and flex to be installed. The color and fitment are perfect and it looks awsome. Install is easy if you follow the directions and have a phillips screwdriver. You can access the fender screws by turning the wheel so you don't even have to remove the wheels.

    Front spoiler pre painted

    May 28, 2010

    Review from

This is a very well matched piece both by color and design. It balances the look of that car perfectly, especially from the side. It takes away the "overbite," look of the front bumper making it look more sleek. It reminds me a little bit of the cattle catcher that the Cobra-R had on it. My car was already lowered when I got the spoiler. You have to be very very careful driving a lowered car with this thing attached! First day i had it, I bottomed out going out of a parking lot that wasn't even that steep. So if your stang is already lowered you might want to think twice about it. I am very happy with it other than that. It makes the car look way more mean!

    Awesome chin spoiler

    July 27, 2011

    Review from

Great product...color is right on. I had a body shop install it because I had stripes painted on it. The guy said the install took 20 min and was super easy. The chin spoiler looks incredible and gives the car a more aggressive look. Ford should have put this on in the factory!!

    CDC Classic Chin Spoiler

    April 05, 2010

Came well packaged, perfect fit and easy install. No need to remove front wheels for install, just use a 1/4" drive socket set and a screw driver bit, you do not even have to turn the steering to get screws out and in. Kept it black on my vapor 08, looks great! - Thanks AM

The paint matched perfectly. I was alittle worried that the chin spoiler would come off with just the screws and the tape but I had the GT on the autobahn and it didnt even budge!!

    Looks Awesome!

    May 09, 2013

    Review from

I purchased the CDC classic chin spoiler pre-painted at AmericanMuscle in Vista Blue Metallic for my 2006 Mustang GT. This product arrived packaged very well with no damage whatsoever. The paint quality and colour match were outstanding. This thing fit on my car like a glove. It fit flawlessly and the car looks like it came from the factory with this spoiler on it. The installation was easy as the instructions were very good. I carefully followed the instructions and I had it installed in less than 30 minutes working alone. Some say that it is easier if you jack up your car or remove the wheels or have a second person helping. I have to disagree on all items. I did it alone with the wheels on and the car planted on my garage floor and I had no issues whatsoever. Just make sure that you have a ratchet with a Phillips attachment because if you only have a Phillips screwdriver you will surely have some difficulty with the wheels on. Great product! My car has received a lot of looks since I put this part on! Now hopefully soon you guys will start offering pre-painted hoods! D. Smith Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada
