Lighter and Stronger. If you are upgrading the rear gears in your pony it's a good idea to replace your wimpy stock Girdle Support System (a.k.a. differential cover) with a super strong, light weight Aluminum Differential Cover for additional safety and peace of mind.

Superior Construction. Made in the USA this 7.5" Rear End Differential Cover is cast from heat-treated aluminum for strength and features, magnetic fill and drain plugs, additional clearance for billet main caps and low gear ratios, and increased fluid capacity for reduced operating temperatures.

Recommended Upgrade. When changing your differential cover it is recommended to upgrade to fresh Royal Purple Synthetic Gear Oil. You will need 3 quarts of Gear Oil.

Application. This Aluminum Rear End Differential Cover is designed to fit the 1979 to 2010 Mustangs equipped with 7.5" rear end gears. Most commonly found in V6 models.

This product both looks good and makes differential oil changes easier. Instead of having to crack off the cover to drain and fill through the back of the gear housing, you can just use the easily accessed drain and fill plugs. No waiting for new sealant to dry before putting in new oil.Expanded capacity has marginal effects for me, since I never had an issue with my old one overheating, but it certainly can't hurt.Installation is very simple, just make sure to let the new sealant set overnight before filling with oil.This is a great piece if you do a lot of maintenance on your car, race, or just want something a little cleaner looking back there.

I like the product. It installed easily on my '93 Ranger. I threw three coats of paint on it to protect it from the roadsalt up here, and it looks and functions much better than the rusted out diff cover I had before. The only thing I wish is that the directions included the new gear oil capacity. I used about 4 quarts after it wasinstalled.
