Bought my '98 SVT with the check engine light on. Got a screamin deal because the guy thought it was too expensive to fix. I replaced both upstream O2s with NTKs and it runs like a dream. The best deal

I have longtube headers, do i still need a extender kit with these O2 sensors?

Darius Year: 1995 Model: V6

Good Question (0) (0)
  • I bought the same sensor and the wiring was much longer than the stock one so for now don't by the extender. It should reach just fine the wire was about 8 to 10 inches long or so.

Bought my '98 SVT with the check engine light on. Got a screamin deal because the guy thought it was too expensive to fix. I replaced both upstream O2s with NTKs and it runs like a dream. The best deal I could find at a local parts store was $63 each, AM saved me $26, and they were in my mailbox within 2 days!

    NTK O2 Sensor Installed-

    October 26, 2011

I utilized this sensor for bank 2 primary sensor. Installation and operation was perfect. When using this sensor in the pre-cat bung, it's length is longer than OEM sensors, not an issue at all, just a fact. I have run a few hundred miles so far and performance has been flawless. The sensor I replaced was 200K miles old so increased MPG were expected and that is what resulted.

bought this to solve inspection problem

    October 17, 2011

when i bought my gt the previous owner flunked it thru inspection so i bought it and gave her all new exhaust and converters. while i was at it, i ordered this off american muscle along with the rear sensor. fits like it should and the look matched the old dirty one. the rear sensor however didnt but they all do the same job and havnt had any problems. the only thing which is no biggie, there was a lot of extra wire that just hangs.. i rolled a portion up and zip tied it together. i dont want the exhaust burning thru these things! not cheap to replace!

Great product, cleared my DTC code, quick install, came with good instructions, and most important it was half the price the auto store wanted. What more can you ask for?

    no more check engine light

    June 25, 2014

I've had problems figuring out why my check engine light was on. My cobra doesn't have a cat on the exhaust so I was told to get mil eliminators. I did but still had that light on. Took it to the dealer said I had 3 bad o2 sensors. Plugged these in and bam, no more check engine light. They were very simple to install and now my cobra is running better than ever.
