How to install a One-Touch Rear Window Kit on your 2010-2012 Mustang

Installation

1. The connections are made on wires going to/from the rear window switch. During the installation procedure, make sure the power to the car is OFF. Make sure you have plenty of light so you can correctly identify the wire colors. NOTE: If you can't find the correct wire colors, DO NOT GUESS! Ask someone to help you identify them, or contact us at tech support. Incorrect hookup can cause damage to your car!
2. Remove the switch panel by pulling up on the front edge of the panel.

3. Unplug the connector on the rear window switch. Unwrap the tape to expose the harness wires.

Using the diagram above, make the connections as follows:

1. Cut the BLUE-BROWN harness wire about 2" from the connector and strip 1/2" of insulation from each end. Using a wire nut, connect the BROWN module wire to the BLUE-BROWN wire coming out of the harness.
2. Connect the RED module wire to the BLUE-BROWN wire that goes to the connector.
3. Cut the YELLOW-BLUE harness wire about 2" from the connector and strip 1/2" of insulation from each end. Using a wire nut, connect the VIOLET module wire to the YELLOW-BLUE wire coming out of the harness.
4. Connect the PINK module wire to the YELLOW-BLUE wire that goes to the connector.
5. Using a quick-splice, connect the YELLOW module wire to the BLUE wire that goes to the connector.
6. Using a quick-splice, connect the GREEN module wire to the BLACK wire that goes to the connector.

Plug the connector back in and make sure it is fully seated.

Operation

The module controls both the up and down motors of both rear windows. To operate the window in One-Touch mode, press and release the switch quickly. Once started, you can stop the window by pressing either the Up or Down switch.

To control the window in manual mode, press and hold the switch until the window is in the desired position.
