  • Polyurethane Construction
  • Fits 1999 to 2004 V6, GT, Bullitt and Mach 1 Mustangs
Improves Ride Quality. Improve the sloppy handling of your Mustang by replacing those old worn out, factory rubber bushings with a brand new set of Prothane Rear Control Arm Bushings for increased performance and better overall ride quality.

Polyurethane Construction. Prothane bushings are made from a polyurethane material which is far superior than standard rubber. Polyurethane is unique in that it has the elasticity properties of rubber combined with the durability of metal, making it ideal for suspension bushings.

Application. This Prothane Mustang Rear Control Arm Bushing Kit comes complete with bushings for both the upper and lower control arms and is designed for use on all 1999 to 2004 solid axle Mustangs with factory control arms installed, including the V6, GT, Bullitt, and Mach 1. Does not fit 1999-2004 IRS equipped Cobras.

Wow! removing the old bushings, what a task. Installing the new ones were easy, bushings arrived quickly. I can't say much for performance right now for i'm not rolling yet but im sure the Prothane bushings will stifffen up the ride. I hope they don't sqeak! If i may suggest buy extra grease the 4 tubes sent with the bushing is not enough. Thanks

Hope you have an easy install!

Everything was a good fit, pretty snug. Just hope that the bolts and bushings come out easy, they can be tough. Otherwise good product and everything should go smoothly. A slight difference on handling, nothing to get real excited about.

    Overall a great product

These bushings made an overall significant improvement over the stock bushings that were in there. The rubber ones were soft and gummy and had to be removed with a chissle and wire wheel. Going back with stock did not make sense. Prothane seems to have made a good name for itself over the years which is what I based my decision on. I also went with new control arms and spring isolators. Great way to improve rear end traction and feel. Also dampened some rear vibration.

    Control arm bushings

Good bushings, tightened up the rear a good bit. If you haven't ever taken out the control arms in the rear for 10+ years, be prepared to use a saw, bolts and old bushings were fused together.

    Rear control arm bushings

Installed with a set of SR control arms. Upper control arms were an intensely difficult project and if I had to choose again I wouldn't have installed aftermarket ones. It was extremely difficult to remove the factory bushings. The overall quality of the bushings themselves is great! Lower control arms installed with very little effort. Overall glad I ordered from American Muscle - always a great experience.

    Great product

The biggest pain was getting the old bushings out, used heat and a press. Thank god that my uncle has a lift in his garage.

    WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!

I went with these control arms and a set of sub frame connectors and wow what a difference in handling. The car is much more planted to the road and I feel like I'm not driving a boat anymore. I used basic tools and two jacks to relieve the pressure off the axle to get the arms out. Getting the old axle bushing out was a pain in the butt. But glad I took the time to put the new polyurethane bushings in. For an average street car, you can't go wrong.
