Work with 2013 GT? I am getting a 2013 Mustang GT Premium. Does this work for the 2013 as well, or is there a new product coming soon? Looking at the FRPP website their's works with the 2013's now. Also, does this come with the actual procal tuner, or just a voucher for a dealership to use their own and I would never get a tuner?

  • Yes, this Power Pack Upgrade Package will in fact work on the 2013! We are updating our site as we speak to reflect that! You will at first receive just a voucher for the ProCal. Due to multiple power-train calibrations, you have to registration online with Ford Racing and then you'll receive the ProCal calibration tool after purchase. Hope this helps!

    Nice!

    February 24, 2014

I own a '14 GT Convertible w/6MT and 3.31's. I wanted something with a little more "sound" and "oomph." This package hit those spots well. The nice deeper rumble when I start the car is great, and it's "quiet" when I need it to be (neighborhood, or when I have the top down and the old lady in the car) and roars nicely when I want to play. The tune made the car come a bit more "alive", and I also think I picked up a mile or 2 on the mpg; however, if you really want a pin in your seat experience through all gears, think 3.73's are the way to go (....maybe next year?). I ordered from AM (love all the videos and the reviewers posts) and had it shipped direct to my dealer. I then stopped by the dealer once in, took the procal sheet home and ordered it, and once the procal arrived at my house I made an appointment to have my dealer install it all. Labor was $250, and it took him ~2.5 hours (includes oil change, axle backs, change air filter, tune, and re-box old stock mufflers). Anyone need a set of stock mufflers with ~2500 miles on them?

    Great Power Pack!

    September 08, 2012

I've first had the Roush exhausts mounted on my 2013 Mustang GT and I really love the sound of these exhausts, but the're too loud for The Netherlands when I take my Mustang back end of this year. The Ford GT500 exhausts are more quiet (stationary in the garage, but also during normal driving) than the Roush exhausts. They still give more sound esp. at WOT than the stock exhausts. Note: I've already sold my Roush exhausts on Craigslist. I was impressed by the Ford Tune: it gives a lot more torque ar low rmp's and also gives a better mileage (about 2 mpg). The wheels spin much easier now when I hit the gas after a standstill. Overall this is a very good kit for the money.

    Just what the doctor ordered!

    July 13, 2013

The FRPP basically "fixed" any disappointments I had with my '14 GT. First off, the GT500 axle backs sound mean- but not obnoxious. Turning the key on a cold start always brings a smile, there is a nice grumble during acceleration, but things stay "civilized" during highway cruising. IMO, these mufflers should have been included in the Track Package from the factory. The only drawback was damage to one of the exhaust tips. The packaging isn't sufficient to protect the tips, and one of mine had a nasty ding on the top of the lip- which took about an hour for me to straighten. I should note the packaging seems to be done by Ford Racing- not AM. The tune absolutely fixes the car (again, this should be the factory tune for the Track Package, IMO). I feel a lot more torque down low, and- most importantly- the accelerator acts the way it should (i.e., immediately and consistently). The result is the shifts through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd become much easier, smoother, and more satisfying- AND there is no more issue with stalling when I back up my driveway. Finally, it really makes 6th gear more practical (no longer have to shift to 5th for passing on the highway). Registering the Procal is easy, and it arrives the next day. I installed the mufflers myself (bending the forward mounting rods up slightly at the ends makes installation much easier- but doesn't affect final mounting location). To keep the warranty, I had my dealer install the tune (they charged $232- be sure to be clear on how much the install fee will be... it takes about 20-30 minutes, but my now former dealer charged me 2 hours labor). All in all, the FRPP produced the sound I was looking for and the street performance a 420hp car should have.

    Ford Racing Power Pack

    February 23, 2014

This is the best addition to 2013 & 2014 Mustang GT owners that don't plan to track their car all the time. The throttle response is improved and the torque in the lower RPM range is really noticeable. My gas mileage has improved as long as I keep my door out of it which is hard they way the GT500 mufflers sound. American Muscle is fantastic the product arrived within 2 days and was really easy to install. In fact if anyone near Atlantic city that orders this kit and needs help just let me know. I am on the NJStangers forum as DJinEHT.

This product is a great buy !!!

    July 02, 2013

The sound of the exhaust is awesome not annoying loud but great muscle sound and the tune removed throttle lag and gave the car a little more power from the start down low in the rpm range .great product at a great price. Very easy install of the exhaust and had my local ford dealer install the tune .

    FRPP Power Pack

    August 25, 2012

Easy to install. The GT500 mufflers are perfect for being quiet in a neighborhood, but increase volume north of 2000 rpm. I don't know why Ford bothers with the K&N since they have proven to loose HP on dynos. Oh yeah, and FRPPs procal registration website drastically needs an update!

Big difference in both sound and feel

    June 27, 2012

The lower rpm range and soundyou of my 2011 GT was somewhat disappointing until I purchased the frpp powerpack with GT500 mufflers! Have gotten many compliments on the exhaust note and can feel a difference in the car with the power pack installed, and still keep my warranty after paying Ford a $50 install fee for powerpack! !! Can't beat that for the price... (I installed mufflers/filter myself, but the procal needs to be installed by ford dealer to keep warranty). All in all, extremely happy with my purchase

    Ford Performance Kit

    June 19, 2012

I have a 2012 GT with 373 gears , had this installed a week ago and love it. It was just the sound I was looking for with no drone. The low end torque and sound is what I was lacking for the muscle car feel and now I have both sound and in the seat of you pants feel.

    Just what the doctor ordered

    August 25, 2012

My 2011 GT is a daily driven car with a 3.31:1 rear end. First up is the GT500 mufflers. My car now sounds like a Mustang at idle and during acceleration. I find them to be quieter on the highway at 80mph than the stock mufflers. The FRPP tune is outstanding. The car always felt a bit laggy from the factory. I originally wanted one of the optional lower ratios, but since my car does 50-80 mph so much of the time, I went for The standard ratio. Acceleration was previously like a Honda, with a torque hole down low, but aggressive after the engine reaches a certain speed. This tune puts a nice kick into the lower rpm and improves overall performance while not voiding my warranty. I love it. Avg fuel economy is also up about 1-2 mpg on 93 Octane (in normal daily driving) The package price for this kit and AM's shipping policy make it a win-win all the way around. I can't believe I waited 30k miles before taking the plunge.
