Any mods you CANT have with this? I was told you cant have long tube headers with a supercharger and i was planning on purchasing the headers with bbk off road x pipes but ifni get this i dont want to have to remove those

Chaseh504

  • Who told you that cause that is false. Maybe they were thinking about turbos. Superchargers efficiency will increase with long tubes. Just make sure that you modify your tune to prevent running lean.

What would I need for this to work? Like what other kinds of upgrades will I need to do to my car for this to work, if not what is a good upgrade to have the most bang for the buck? My car is stock with Borla ATAK axle back exhaust

ChrisMelton

  • This Supercharger System is intended to be use on a bone-stock application or a Mustang with a catback, or in your case an axle-back system. This would be a complete SC system for what your current set up! If you were to do other modifications, such as Cold Air Intake, Throttle Body, Long Tube Headers, etc... you would actually need the Tuner Version of this kit. which would require fuel system upgrades and custom dyno tuning for calibration. Hope this helps!

Boost? the boost says 8 psi can you raise that or is that what it is and thats final?

ChrisMelton

  • Eight psi is just scratching the surface of what this supercharger will produce but there is a reason why Procharger choose this limit. The 3.7 is a high compression engine and is uses cast pistons. This is going to be the two limiting factors of the engine. If you lower compression slightly and go with a more durable forged pistons more boost and HP are there for the taking. without these changes you may litter the road with some expensive engine parts.

Transmission Will the factory transmission hold up to the added power and should I upgrade my clutch. My car is a daily driver.

DevilMusic

  • The factory transmission should be fine and upgrading the clutch is always a good thing. I recommend the centerforce dual friction or a spec clutch

Sound before vs after? How does this kit change the engine/exhaust note?

KBppv6

  • With the increase in airflow and horsepower you will notice a more muscular tone and the exhaust note will be slightly louder.

    rtr automotive installed my kit

well to start off i have a 3.7 v 6 i got new and started right off with american muscle i did all the bolt ons to build power long tubs headers x pipe no cats 373 gears bbk throttle body , cold air intake and the tune cobra short throw shifter and a aluminum drive shaft . it was impressive for a v6 special thanks to american muscle for all there help i found them all to know what they were talking about and helped me all the way so you guys these mods work. but i had to take it to the next level so on went the procharger . they gave me a list of shops to do the install. RTR automotive had the best price .315 597 4142 talk to rob he did a excellent job on my car and took good care of my baby . it dynoed out at 289 rwhp @ 6298 rpms 257.3 foot pounds of torque to start befor the procharger ended at 440 rwhp at 6800 350 foot lbs of torque .remember not all dynos are the same mine was done on a mustang dyno . it truly is unreal . now remember if you live up north a bit buy the great lakes or around this area rtr is the place to take your ride .now i need better tires .

I gt my kit installed by krazy house customs in NJ it took only 1 day my car started at 270 whp i left crazy house customs with 409 to the rear wheels. The performance was immense the only thing is oddly there is a bit of lag but that will be fixed with a bigger pulley. the only thing i have to complain about is that the kit was missing 2 brass fittings and the K&N filter it was suppose to come with. No big deal also the order took about a month in total to get to me which kinda sucked but the wait was more then worth it i smoke gt's and i have a 2.83 gear ratio.

    Procharger

I recently installed the procharger on my 2012 in my garage with the help of a friend at times. The instruction booklet they give you is very good and detailed and easy to follow. the scariest part is drilling into the crank pulley for the dowel pin. you really need to be precise and make sure its perfect or the procharger pulley will vibrate. Overall i think that the fitment of the kit is actually very poor. Everything is extremely crammed and the inlet tube rubs on my hood a little bit. There was not enough room for the intercooler piping by any means but everything eventually will fit. The kit looks great though and put down great numbers. I had it tuned By JDM in freehold and put down 453 rwhp. Overall it is a great buy if you have the money, just be prepared for a frustrating install, but the result is well worth it.

    Amazing

BLow By racing installed the procharger on my 2011 v6 coupe mustang. I already had BBK long tube headers and off road x pipe installed, jlt intake and sct tuner, 3.73 gears and dyno tune. My car makes 435 hp to rear wheel at 8 pounds of boost and destroys my buddys 2010 shelby gt 500! PLan on larger fuel injectors and intercooler perhaps. Oh ya, I challenge american muscle to a race! Blow by Racing tuned 2011 v6 mustang vs yours! haha with all due respect i give you guys mad props for doing it first.

    What a difference

with very little, if any, mechanical experience, i took on the challenge of installing the procharger myself on my 2012 mustang. It took about 17 hours of labor and if i had to go through it again, id say it would definitely be worth having a shop install it. But i do have to say this completely changes your car! i put down 429rwhp on the dyno and it pulls all the way from 3k up. the sound of the procharger is great when at full throttle but sounds like your tumbling rocks at idle and i wish i had gotten the helical gears. overall i could not believe the difference it made and i can easily walk my friends 2012 5.0 with cold air and a tune. After you procharge there is essentially nothing you can do to gain more power out of the 3.7 and it now allows me to focus on my cars cosmetic appearance.

    Instant bolt on power.

Proc harder and American muscle are awesome. car was 279 hp before and 409 hp after 3 days of install. About 14 hrs total for the install. I split it up for 3 easy days. The power is awesome. Expect fitting the intercooler tube to take the longest. Overall fitment after aligning everything is perfect.
