Increase horsepower and torque. A set of Pypes V8 Long Tube headers will greatly improve your S197 Mustangs exhaust flow over the restrictive stock factory manifolds and will increase your pony's horsepower and torque for better throttle response.

Quality Construction. Pypes Long Tube Exhaust headers are constructed from free flowing CNC mandrel-bent 1-5/8" 304 stainless steel tubing and are then completed in a bright polished finish for great looks and long life.

Recommended Upgrade. To realize the full power potential that these Long Tube Headers have to offer, AmericanMuscle recommends a custom tune with either a SCT SF3 or SCT LiveWire Custom Tuner.

Application. Designed to fit the 2005-2010 GT Mustangs. These Pypes Long Tube headers will require the use of Pypes shorty style X-pipe for proper installation on your 2005-2010 Mustang GT.

Technical Note. Not legal for use on pollution controlled motor vehicles; intended for off road use only. These Pypes Long Tube headers reuse the factory header bolts and will require new gaskets.

Fantastic addition especially when paired with the Pypes o/r xpipe and Pypes mid muffler cat back system. Note: You MUST get a new x or h pipe with this. It doesn't fit with the stock H. I know it says that down there somewhere but I missed it when purchasing. Getting the driverside pipe on was a little tough, but that's more because of the car than the product. All in all now that is on, I love it and exceptionally pleased with its performance.

I decided to buy these headers after a lot of research and after talking with several S197 GT owners that had many different brands of headers installed on their cars. Let me just say the fit, performance and sound of these Pypes long tubes is just flat out incredible.The install went well and as far as the installation, well, they're headers. What do you expect? If you've never done this before, find someone who has to help you or pay a shop to do it.The driver side was the most challenging, what with the steering shaft & column being required to be repositioned out of the way and the configuration of the tubes. Passenger side went in very easily, with plenty of clearance on both sides.Finished off the install with the matching Pypes shorty off-road X. Initially, I had series 40 Flowmasters on the car with the cats. It was a little too obnoxious-loud for me, so I changed those out for a set of manual GT stock mufflers. MUCH better & NO drone. All my buddies loved the no-cat/Flowmaster combo, but they didn't have to live with it! I have the FRPP hot rod cams & the headers really enhance the sound of the cams as well as the performance.If you want awesome performance, perfect fit & great looks, look no further than these headers. You won't be disappointed.

Did not take to the dyno but got some track times in. Went from 9 flat in Florida to 8.7 in Fort Campbell KY after the header install. Like I stated before great product and great Company to deal with. Thank you American Muscle.
