Steeda Billet Mustang Pedal Covers 3 Piece Set - Installation Instruction

AmericanMuscle Installation Garage

coverpedalsmall
Here at American Muscle, we're all about DIY (do it yourself). Of course, there's nothing wrong with seeking out a little bit of tech help prior to taking on an installation on your own. Our Mustang installation guides will provide valuable instructions and hopefully answer any how-to questions that you may have along the way.

Please read through the instructions carefully before starting this project.  Take the time to get all the materials together as well as all the safety equipment.

Tools needed:

  • Medium-Sized Flathead Screwdriver
  • Medium-Sized Phillips Head Screwdriver
  • Electric Drill w/ 11/64" and 1/16" Bits
  • Permanent Marker
  • Package of 8 Size and Type Bolts and Nuts (Not Included)

Installation:

  1. The stock rubber pedal covers can become worn and unattractive after normal usage. Your new Steeda pedal covers will add a new custom look to your car’s interior.

  2. First, you will need to remove the stock clutch and brake pedal covers by simply pulling them off. You may need to use your flat head screw driver to remove the stock rubber covers, if they are difficult to pull off.

  4. Using the new Steeda pedal cover as a template, mark the location of the holes that will need to be drilled. Then drill pilot holes using the 1/16”, bit followed by the 11/64” bit for the final hole size. The smaller pilot holes will make drilling the final holes much easier.

  5. After the holes have been drilled, you are ready to attach the pedal covers. You will need to use the replacement screws and nuts (not included). These screws can be found at any local hardware store and are very inexpensive. Thoroughly tighten the screws to prevent them from vibrating loose. Use this process for the clutch and brake pedals.

  7. The cover for the gas pedal will need to be arched to conform to the pedal before it can be installed. This is a fairly easy task. Once the pedal cover has been arched to the proper shape, use the screws provided with the kit to attach the cover onto the plastic gas pedal. You should line up the cover with the bottom of the existing pedal or you may restrict the motion of the pedal. Be careful not to over-tighten these screws, as doing so may damage the existing gas pedal.

  9. These pedal covers will provide a custom look and feel for your Steeda Mustang.
