What is included with this supercharger? And would I get computer tunes straight from AM? I am looking forward to buy a supercharger for my 06 mustang gt Automatic but being able to get the right turning that includes the rest of my upgrades has me hesitating. Pls advice on SC tune by AM. Thanks

  • Call to see if they will adjust the tune for your mods. Not knowing exactly what mods you have leaves your question a little too vague. I have done many mods after the install of the SC kit and only had to update tune once. The other changes I made in the user program area of the tuner. Now running 15.5Lbs boost and meth injection for last couple of years no problem.

Will I need more than the provided kit in order for my 06 GT to run effectively? I really want my 06 GT to be a lot faster than it is. I was told by a dealer at Ford that if I were to add a super charger to my mustang that I will "blow out" the engine and tail end of my car. He stated that it wasn't "designed" to handle that much torque and horse power. I don't totally believe that but that is why I asked if I would need more than the kit American Muscle provides in order for my GT to run effectively and of course fast! I understand that I MAY need to add bigger brakes and a cool air intake, but I just need to know if there are any other NECESSARY requirements.

  • on our cars our rods are powder coated they aren't strong internals at all. so our car is rated to handle no more than 450 rwhp in the motor and on the auto tranny. what happens if you exceed this you might get away with it for a little bit depending on your driving habits, but what happens a lot is that you will end up throwing number 7 out your motor. from all the research i have done that is the most common. if you want your car to be a lot faster i would recommend 4.10 gears, a 3000 stall, one piece drive shaft, full bolt ons, cams, and I'm running a 75 shot and am really happy with it. but get a really good tune i am running bama tunes and haven't had any problems but a dyno tune is the way to go especially with nitrous but if you still want a power-adder the only way to make our cars have any serious power is to get a better block and forge the internals, upgrade the tranny level 10 and tci are most popular, you will need a one piece drive shaft, you can get away with the rear end but if you want to make 600 plus at the wheels i would recommend a 9" rear but it depends on how you drive and how hard your car will hook
