2006 Mustang Overview

The Mustang went through minor changes between the 2006 and 2006 model years. The addition of a new trim level, the Pony Package, was made. This package is offered on V6 Mustangs, and basically amounts to a GT look-alike package. It includes the GT grille/front end and Torq-Thrust-style wheels. The Pony Package also comes with the GT decklid spoiler and the GT suspension upgrades.

The 2006 Mustang GT now offers two 18" wheel options. The first is the "fan blade" style wheel which debuted on the 2004 show car. The second is the "Bullett"-style wheel (also known as the Torq-Thrust wheel). The only other changes in 2006 were exterior color options: Sonic Blue was replaced with Vista Blue and Mineral Grey was replaced with Tungsten Gray.
