New appearance packages now available, including the California Special which offers 18-inch wheels, unique striping, rolled exhaust tips, unique front and rear fascias, and a chin spoiler an inch and a half lower than the GT which gives a more aggressive front appearance. A new paint color, Grabber Orange, now becomes available for all models replacing Screaming Yellow. Auxiliary audio input jacks come standard with the new option of Satellite radio. A new comfort package is available featuring heated front seats. Ford released two brand new models for the Mustang enthusiast, the Shelby GT500 and the Shelby GT. The Shelby GT500 replaces the New Edge high-performance Cobra models that disappeared with the last design in 2004. The first GT500 was introduced in 2005 but now built and produced for 2007 and puts down an impressive 500-HP out of a 5.4-liter. The racing legend, Parnelli Jones, and Steve Saleen teamed up to make a limited-edition Parnelli Jones Mustang with only 500 produced and Jones signature scripted on the dash. This particular model consists of black side and hood stripes, a functional “shaker” hood, a black decklid, rear spoiler, and louvered rear window cover, and 19-inch Minilite-inspired alloy wheels. Let’s not forget the 302-cubic-inch, 24-valve modular V8 complete with forged-aluminum pistons and forged-steel connecting rods and crankshaft, a 3.73:1 rear, and 14-inch slotted front brakes with four-piston calipers.
