Raise the vehicle with the jack, and safely support vehicle by placing jack stands in appropriate locations.
Remove both front wheels after the vehicle is properly supported.
The front passenger brake line should be removed first. Begin by removing the (2) plastic brake line retaining clips shown in the picture below.
Use the 13mm open ended wrench to loosen the banjo bolt and hard line connections.
Use the 10mm socket to remove the (2) brake line brackets which secure the brake line to the car. One bolt is easily visible; the other bolt is located on the back side of the shock absorber. Both of the bolts are shown in pictures below.
Loosen the banjo bolt and the hard line connections the rest of the way. Remove the stock brake line from the car.
Use pliers to remove the copper washer from the banjo bolt and insert the banjo bolt onto the new brake line with a new copper washer.
Tighten the banjo bolt and hard line connections finger tight.
Install the new brake line brackets using the stock bolts and a 10mm socket.
Tighten the banjo bolt and hard line connections with the 13mm wrench.Apply the (2) new brake line clips to the wheel speed sensor and new brake line.
Use the 11mm box wrench, some plastic tube, an empty bottle, and a friend to bleed the brake line until only fluid comes out of the line. Be sure to add fluid to the brake reservoir as necessary.
Steps for proper bleeding brakes:
Place open ended wrench over brake bleeder screw.
Place tubing over brake bleeder screw and place the other end into an empty container.
Have assistant go inside the car and pump the brake pedal until it becomes hard; then keep pressure on the brake pedal.
Loosen the brake bleeder screw until the brake fluid comes out.
Your assistant should keep pressure on the brake pedal as it goes to the floor.
When the fluid flow slows down, tighten the brake bleeder screw.
Have your assistant pump the brakes again until hard.
Continue bleeding the system until no air bubbles come out in the brake fluid.
Remember to top the brake reservoir off periodically during the bleeding process to prevent the reservoir from running dry.
Remove plastic tubing and open ended wrench.
Properly dispose of extra brake fluid.
Now move to the front driver side brake line. Repeat steps 4 through 12.
Put the (2) front wheels back on the car. Lower the car from the jack stands and tighten the lug nuts.
The installation is now complete!
