My love for Mustangs originated when I was about 12 years old. It was at that time I started noticing cars on the road and thought of which kind I would own if I were old enough to drive. My attentions were caught by the '69 Mach 1.
When I turned 16, I purchased a rusted out, uncared for, '69 Mach 1. Over the next eight years, I put all my spare money into it; modifying it mechanically, drag racing, and then eventually restoring it to car show condition. Unfortunately, I had to sell my pony for money that I needed to go to college in the fall of 83, hoping to get another someday. 25 years went by before this happened.
My interest in Mustangs was once again kindled when the 05s showed up at a local Ford dealer, but it wasn't until I saw a BBR customed GT that I pushed to get the funds for another Mustang. This customized Mustang was the closest thing I've seen to my old 69 Mach 1. The bare-bones windveil blue GT didn't look that great, until I handed it over to Booze Brother's Racing for a sprucing up and into BBR010. It has helped to make up for the loss of my 69 stallion.
