Here at American Muscle, we're all about DIY (do it yourself). Of course, there's nothing wrong with seeking out a little bit of tech help prior to taking on an installation on your own. Our Mustang installation guides will provide valuable instructions and hopefully answer any how-to questions that you may have along the way.

Please read through the instructions carefully before starting this project.  Take the time to get all the materials together as well as all the safety equipment.

This is what you will receive

    4. Disconnect the two electrical connections from the throttle position sensor and the IAC (Idle Air Control).

    6. Remove the IAC with the 8mm socket. Be careful not to lose or ruin the gasket after it is removed.

    8. Remove the PCV valve just by simply pulling up on it.

    9. Unbolt the 5 plenum bolts with the 8mm socket and driver.

    10. This the part I messed up on, so the pictures don’t show it. DO NOT remove the EGR. This will make it hard to reinstall the bolts after the throttle body spacer is in. Below is a picture of what the spacers will look like underneath.

    11. Instead, find a friend and have them lift up on the plenum with the EGR still attached. Slide the spacer and gasket underneath.

    13. Here's the tricky part: getting the new bolts in. With the help of a friend, get the front two bolts in first using the 10mm socket, making sure not to strip them as they go in. Then move the plenum around and line up the holes and install the last two bolts.

    14. Reinstall all the plugs, wires and battery cable and you're good to go!
