How to install a BBK 73mm Throttle Body 2011-2012 V6 Mustang

Installation

STEP 1 Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

STEP 2 Disconnect the two (2) breather hoses attached to the inlet tube. Fig. 1

STEP 3 Loosen the clamps at each end of the inlet tube, at the throttle body and at the air filter box. Remove inlet tube and set aside.

STEP 4 Unplug the electrical connector from the sidecover of the throttle body. Pull the black wire harness mount out of the hole in the throttle body. Fig. 2

STEP 5 Unbolt the throttle body from the intake manifold and remove.

STEP 6 Wipe off the rubber o-ring gasket as it will be reused with the BBK throttle body.

STEP 7 Using the supplied bolts, install the BBK throttle body onto the intake manifold and tighten the bolts. Reconnect the electrical connector. Fig. 3 and 4

STEP 8 The stock air inlet tube will work with the BBK throttle body, just open the clamp all the way up before installing the tube on the throttle body. Trim off the two small tabs on the top of the stock rubber inlet tube so tube will fit all the way onto the BBK throttle body. Fig. 5 and 6

STEP 9 With the inlet tube installed and the clamps tight, reconnect the breather hoses.

STEP 10 Reconnect the battery and enjoy your new BBK Performance throttle body.
