First, I bought this part from a competitor due to it being sold out here. But I want to spread the word so this horrendous incident of time and money happens to nobody else. I have a 2001 Cobra that just had the engine rebuilt, JBA headers, Magnaflow full exhaust, BAMA tuned, Steeda under-drive pully and a JLT true cold air intake and more done but not relevant to keep going on. I installed this TB and my RPMs shoot up when I pull in the clutch, pedal feels ugly, and idles anyhow it feels which gets worse as the car engine warms up. I followed the BBK online '.pdf' instructions carefully and still runs horrible. I call BAMA and they say a new tune will not resolve the issue and it would be pointless. I take it to a mechanic and he said that it need to have it brought to a DYNO to compensate for the new airflow after messing with it for half a day at my expense because they could not get it to function properly either. But if that is the case then why can't BAMA write a tune to fix it. I think that this issue stumped him too and he told me that to wash his hands of this issue because nothing is wrong with the installation of the TB. I then send BBK an email and get a response back "We have sold that part for 12 years without issue" basically blaming me for the issue and to send it back to get a new one. Nothing mechanically is wrong with the TB and returning it would be a waste of time because they do not know what else to do and have no other recourse to tell me. I am putting the factory TB back on because this issue has costed me and others over 100 hours of trying to figure it out over the course of buying this part. On a last note, upon observation nothing is stopping the screws on the butterflies to come loose and be sucked into the engine. The OEM has the screws crushed on the back to avoid this but the BBK one does not. I am sure that has happened to others and turned a few engines into scrap metal since this part has been sold. This is my true and horrible story. This part is NOT a direct replacement. Do not believe it.
