Installation Time: (approx) 5 Minutes |
Step 1: Move your car seat completely forward for easiest access.
Step 2: Remove the plastic seat release lever by pulling straight outward and wiggling slightly if needed (or by using the flathead screwdriver to pry it off). If using the screwdriver, insert the end between the lever head and track. Pry towards the lever, not the track (away from the seat, not towards it).
NOTE: The plastic lever should come off fairly easily, but don’t worry about breaking anything. The lever is held on by a small metal clip attached inside and is not necessary for the new levers.
Step 3: To attach the new levers, have the less rounded side facing upward and simply push the new levers onto the small metal piece inside the track. They will stay snugly attached.
NOTE: After installing your new aluminum seat release levers, they may stick slightly in the track when pulled upward because of the wider contact area. The sharper metal edges may scrape off small amounts of plastic, but this is not noticeable and once they have been worn in, will function equally to the old levers and look great. If you prefer, you can run the new levers up and down the track to wear them in immediately after installation.
Enjoy your new Seat Release Levers!

I'm pretty certain this is the best shopping experience I've ever had. I found what I wanted on AmericanMuscle.com, then did some price shopping and ended up coming back and order from them because they had the lowest price AND free shipping too. I honestly look forward to spending more money with American Muscle. They have customer submitted photos in addition to their great product photography as well as installation guides from users and manufacturers. Their videos are honest and incredibly useful. I can't think of anything else I'd like to see from them. Ryan B
