Description
Mustang Styling. This set of four Red MGP Caliper Covers are a great way to set off your new rims and they feature modern "Mustang" lettering on the front two covers and the iconic "GT" logo on the rear two. These Officially Licensed MGP Caliper Covers will give any S197 GT Mustang a big brake race ready look that will turn heads.

Reduces Brake Dust. These Caliper Covers not only look fantastic, but they also act as a protective dust shield to help keep your rims looking cleaner longer.

Quality Construction. MGP makes their Caliper covers from light weight 6061-T6 Aerospace Aluminum that is formed to the caliper for a perfect fit. The covers are then powder coated for a long lasting high gloss look. The installation brackets are TIG welded in place for extra security.

Easy No Mess Install. Painting your calipers can be messy and time consuming, but the MGP Caliper Covers simply install over your stock calipers and are held in place with the supplied clip and bolt. For a no muss, no fuss install.

Application. Designed to fit over stock factory brakes, this set of four MGP caliper covers include all the required hardware needed for installation on a 2005 to 2010 and newer V6 or GT Mustang.

Technical Note. A minimum of 1/8 of an inch clearance between the wheel and the brake caliper is required for proper fitment. How much space is needed for the cover? I asked this question before but it disappeared. I have AM bullet wheels and would like to use these covers but need to know how much space they take between the caliper and the wheel when installed. Thanks

  • Since you have our Bullitt Wheels, you will want to also purchase the 1/4" spacer to provide proper clearance when using these caliper covers.

How du know if you need spacers or not? I have ordered these all ready for my 2007 mustang. I have Shelby razor wheels.. Do I need these spacers

  • According to the mfg., you need 1/8" inch clearance between the caliper covers and the inside of the wheels and this can be measured using two quarters held together. If the clearance is insufficent, you'll likely need 5/16" spacers.

HAVE NOTHING BUT GOOD COMMENTS FROM PEOPLE WHO SEE THEM ON THE CAR. IT COVERS THE CRAPPY PAINT THAT KEEPS PEELING OFF EVERY YEAR WHEN I USE TO PAIINT THEM.

Be aware if a couple things.

These caliper covers look good when installed but as others have said there are a couple issues to be aware of. First they do not cover the entire caliper and leave about ¼” to 3/8” showing on the inside edge of the caliper. I bought the caliper paint and painted the calipers before I installed the covers so whatever area showed still looked good. The clips on the front calipers had to be ground down to fit inside by the rotor which was not a big deal but you would think they would correct this issue as many people that have mentioned it. My guess is both the clips and the cover are made for several different brakes and the same size is used for all, that is why the clips need to be modified and the covers do not cover completely. The rear clips did touch the rotor on one side and make a slight noise but not anything serious. It is not possible to prevent this short of taking the caliper off and grinding a bigger gap between the rotor and caliper but it seems that not all cars have the same space between the rotor and the caliper. One other thing is they claim to do is reduce brake dust. If they do I’m not sure where unless the amount that you clean off the cover is no longer on your wheel. Having said all that, they do look good and I would use them if you want to brighten up the caliper area.

    Great Product

Once I saw the video from the manufacturer, the installation was a breeze. The product fit perfectly and looks great. I think they look better than the painted calipers.

    Need 0.25mm wheel spacer

IMHO too expensive considering the value provided. Need to get a 0.25mm wheel spacers to fit GT/CS (California Special), so you must add another $30 to your total. Looks great. Very easy to install. FAST shipping!

    Fits 2010 GT Nice

The online instructions call for the bending of the small wire clips that reportedly assist in keeping the front brake shoes in place. I was a little worried about this particular procedure, but after reading the online instructions and viewing the online installation video, the bending of the clips was easier than I thought and worked out very well. The rear wheel installation was a snap, and I recommend you start with the rear wheels just to get a feel of how the caliper covers fit.

I forgot to mention in my previous review. I have stock wheels and I did not need to use the spacers that are mentioned when ordering the caliper covers.

    COOL LOOK

These caliper covers look sooo good. They were very easy and quick to install. What a difference in appearance. There seem to be added benefits, but I was going just for the look. American Muscle makes all the products they sell so appealing because they give how-to videos for each application and photos of the products on cars. They take away ALL the guess work. They seemed to be rather expensive, but I'm satisfied!

    Lookin" Good

The MGP Caliper covers were a snap to install and are a real head turner. They show well behind my 2011 Mustang GT-CS spoked wheels and look better than painted calipers. They reduce brake dust and keep the brakes cooler. Highly recommend.

Not Worth It if you Have to Use Spacers

I got the covers as a Xmas gift for my 09 mustang GT with factory 18 inch polished aluminum wheels. The wheels won't clear the covers without spacer installation - so I bought the spaces too. 3500 miles later when I get my tires rotated, tire techs show me that my lug nuts are backing off due to the wheel spacer - they tell me they see it all the time when wheel spacers are used. So I took the covers off - don't want to lose a wheel. They did look great though, got a couple of comments from coworkers.
