Description
Reduce Windage. Windage happens when oil splashes out of the sump onto a spinning crankshaft which in turn creates a swirling cloud of oil mist that causes parasitic drag on the engine. By installing a Canton Windage Tray on your modular V8 engine you can reduce windage and reclaim lost horsepower.

Superior Design And Construction. Constructed from durable gold iridited coated steel, the Canton Windage Tray features a louvered design that allows oil thrown from the rotating assembly to drain back into the sump without splashing back on the crank.

Application. This Canton Louvered Windage Tray is designed to fit on the 1996 to 2010 V8 Mustangs equipped with either the 4.6L or 5.4L modular engine, including the GT, Bullitt, Mach 1, SVT Cobra, and Shelby GT500 models.Technical Note. When using with a stock 4 valve Mustang pickup, the scraper on pickup must be removed for proper clearance.

Allow the oil to stay in bottom of oil pan, does not allow oil spray which causes power loss.

    Needed to modify

To install this i had to cut an extra slot in the tray so that i could fit properly. The spot i cut on the tray was for an ebb on the passenger side on the block. I hate it when after market products don't just bolt up, but modifying is the name of the game, so if ur game i recommend this product.

Allow the oil to stay in bottom of oil pan, does not allow oil spray which causes power loss.

The canton louver wind age tray is a great addition to my car. My supercharger causes a lot on oil splashing which in the long run robs you of horsepower. The wind age tray allows for the oil to remain in the sump and not splash up into your crankshaft, causing a drag on the motor which in return robs you of horsepower. I want all my power to go to the rear wheels, and with this product I will accomplish this. Thank you.

    Canton Windage Tray

Good quality piece. A little cutting on the pick-up tube is required like AM states in the product description. You'll need two oil pan gaskets. One gasket between block/tray, and one gasket between tray/pan.

    Factory oil pan modification.

I have a 2001 Cobra with the factory Teksid. Like others have stated; modification to the pickup is necessary. I did find something possibly overlooked for my particular year cobra. In the front of the oil pan (the higher end) there are 2 factory and most likely useless crank scrapers that I had to modify to make the tray fit due to interference. I simply beat them down flat with autobody hammers on a flat vice after cutting them down the middle. GREAT PIECE FOR THE PRICE AND ALL THE NEW HARDWARE IS A MAJOR BONUS I THOUGHT!
