    Keep Your Engine Running Cool. Cantons Street Oil Pan features a rear sump T-style kick out design to increase your Mustangs oil capacity to 7 quarts (with filter installed), which helps reduce oil temperature and insures adequate oil supply to pickup area.

    Superior Construction. Fabricated from gold iridited coated steel this Canton Oil Pan has a 6-1/4" deep, 12-3/4" wide, by 9-1/4" long rear sump and features an anti-slosh baffle that helps keep oil contained in the oil pump pickup area.

    Application. This Canton 7 quart T-Style Rear Sump Oil Pan is designed for Street and occasionally strip use on the 1996 to 2009 Mustangs equipped with a 4.6L or 5.4L V8 engine and simply bolts in place of the stock one.

        will this product work with the Ford Racing High Volume Oil Pump, and the Canton winndage tray in my '04 Mach1? I'm wondering if the increased capacity of the sump will be an issue for the pump. Does it reach etc...I also wonder if I need a longer dipstick?

        • From what I was told by my installer and also by the engine builder, the stock dipstick will work fine. Now this is for my year and model but I don't expect your case to be any different.

        What is the thread size for the oil plug?

        • The drain plug for the Canton Rear Sump Oil Pan will have 1/2"-20 threads.

        Why won't this work on my 2010 GT with a 4.6 L 3 valve?

        • The reason we do not have guaranteed fitment for the 2010 mustang GT's is because it was the same year Ford changed from the 4.6l to the 5.0 coyote engine, so due to this, we cannot guarantee the fitment for that year mustang even though it may still fit on the car.

        Does this oil pan have the low oil sensor port in the oil pan?

        • The Canton Rear Sump Oil Pan will not have a port for the low temp oil sensor. It will have the oil temp sensor port.

            Great oil pan.

            Previous oil pan cracked (my fault not manufacturers) went with it one cause it was on a lot of different sites. Literally the only down side is the pan is not the same finish as the one in the picture but that didn’t matter.

            Do not buy recommended steel braided dipstick

            I purchased the pan and American Muscle was a little deceiving when it came to which oil dipstick to use with this pan. After purchasing the recommended steel braided dipstick I realized there was no way to make it work. I was quick to jump on the phone and explain my situation to AM but to my surprise they were at a loss for words. I emailed canton racing products and this is what they had to say “The 15-780 is designed to use the stock dipstick but you have to get a different dipstick from Ford part # 1C2Z-6750 - AA and shorten it. and remark the stick to the pans oil level. The pans capacity is 7 quarts and we are including the oil filter in that amount.” I’m writing this review to help any potential buyers not go through the headache I did for the last couple days. Hopefully an AM rep will see this and update this item listing. In the meantime I’m going to try and make a detailed item installation guide including how to properly shorten and mark your dipstick for this new pan so keep checking back. Other then this little setback the pan looks great and works properly for its intended use.

            Oil pan

            Replacing a 3.9 L engine with a 4.6 L and this oil pan was just what I needed to complete the modifications I wanted to do on the 4.6 which included balancing my pistons and adding a stage two cam . This will keep the oral right where I need it for quick take offs

            works good for drifting

            after switching to this oil pan i haven't had any oil pressure drop when I'm out on track. my only complaint is it hangs down a bit to low. I've scrapped it a couple times now, however my car is extremely low.

            Great Looking Oil Pan

            The Canton Oil Pan is going on my new 4.6L engine build. I wanted a pan that would hold a little more oil than the stock pan. This pan fits the bill and the gold color coating really makes it pop. I also like that it has an anti-slosh baffle to keep foaming down to a minimum. The stock pick up tube fit without any problems and the gasket and pan bolted right up to the block without any problems. Pan was a little pricey but in this case you get what you pay for, a well made and great looking pan.
