This item is a little expensive. But it makes my GT look so much better. Functional heat extractors are a major plus definitely over the GT non functional hood scoop trim. I Installed it in maybe 20 minutes

What color is the hood? and do the vents open/close? i know it says it comes unpainted but is it white? or does it have like a grayish look? and i saw another website that says the vents open and close, is this true?

  • Most unpainted body parts come primed and ready for paint. Though this may not be the case with this hood so I would recommend calling the reps at American Muscle to verify. Also, the vents on the Cervini's hood are the same design and serve the same functionality as the OEM 03/04 Cobra's vents. The inserts are made up of a fully vented surface that's always open, so they do not physically open and close.

Clearance I have the a modular 4.6 with a Kenne Bell 2.8h Mammoth, will this hood clear that. I already have a trufiber cowl induction hood that fits with slight modifications to make room for the blower. would this be the same deal as my current hood?

Wet Engine?? If it lets hot air out, and makes for better air flow, what stops water from gettin into the engine bay if the car is parked??

Good Question (0) (0)
  • While the vent holes are quite small they still allow some water to enter the engine bay. However the location of the vents as well as the natural slope of the hood causes most of the water to travel toward the bumper of the car and run off in front of the engine itself. I know numerous people with the same hood and they've never had any issues with water inside the engine bay.

    Great Look but Exspensive

    March 15, 2012

The hood is immaculate and looks absolutly stunning adds a whole new look to the Mustang from the front, everything about the car seems to change for the better. Although i knew the garage owner so he cut me a deal it was still very exspensive to get it painted and installed took a few days, but was well worth it. Would totaly do it for any mustang.

I Installed it in maybe 20 minutes with provided hardware straight out of the box where I took it to the shop for paint. Perfect OEM fit. Looks terrific.

    Authentic Terminator Hood

    December 15, 2014

After being on the fence in terms of the direction I wanted to go, I went with the factory looking replica terminator hood from Cervini's. It was delivered promptly considering it was back ordered, but upon inspecting the package, I noticed the extractor inserts were missing. This was despite the product description listing them as included. Buying these outright would run another $100+, sonic called AM. The customer service was great and shipped them next day. As for the hood, fitment was spot on, and I had a shop prep and paint it which turned out awesome (mine is the 01 Blue GT in the pics). Definitely recommend, even if the final cost was a little steep.
