    Review & Install Video

Hey everyone Justin here with AmericanMuscle.com and I’m taking a look at a classic Mustang wheel design and by far our most popular wheel here at AmericanMuscle, I’m referring to these Bullitt wheels for all 99-04 Mustangs. Bullitt wheels have long been the favorite of many Mustang owners everywhere, from their classic 60s muscle car styling, in addition to the factory built Ford Bullitt Mustang in 01, then again in 08 and 09, it’s easy to see why these wheels are so popular on Mustangs of all ages. Our Bullitt wheels are available in 17” 18” and 19” diameters, and your choice of either gloss black, anthracite silver, matte black, or a chrome finish. The wheels are also available in either staggered or non staggered fitment, now a staggered fitment means that your rear wheels and tires are going to be slightly wider than your fronts, giving you that classic muscle car appearance, and that’s exactly what we’ve done on our 2000 V6 behind me. We have our gloss black 17x9’s on the front, and our gloss black 17x10 ½ ‘s on the rear, giving us that really aggressive stance. Now this will also help your traction as well, thanks to the fact that you get to run a big beefy tire out back to help you get that power down to the ground. The wheels are also available with a very cool deep dish option, now deep dish refers to the lip around the wheel itself, as you can see the face of the wheel is set further back into the rim, giving you that really nice lip that’s sure to get you noticed. If you want to check out what some of the other finishes might look like on your ride, then you’ll want to check out our 98 GT back there on the lift that’s sporting the chrome finish, or our 2000 GT back there on our dyno jet, sporting the anthracite silver look. Now whatever finish you decide to go with, rest assured that we have your back, with a 1 year warranty on our finishes, and a lifetime structural warranty on all wheels. Of course you can purchase these wheels individually if you like, however the smart move would be to take advantage of one of our pre built tire and wheel combinations. This pairs your new Bullitt wheels up with some of the top performing tires on the market today, in sizes that are guaranteed to fit your ride without rubbing, even if you’re lowered an inch or two. You also get to take advantage of our free mounting and balancing, optional nitrogen fill, and as always free shipping and handling. Installing a new set of wheels is something any backyard mechanic should be able to tackle, all you need to do is simply crack your lugs loose first, then jack up the car and swap the wheels, start to finish should take you about an hour using standard hand tools and a floor jack. So if you want to evoke that classic muscle car styling on your modern day ride, then these Bullitt wheels from AmericanMuscle will give you an aggressive look that’s sure to never go out of style.

what are the best size tires for this rim.

    NikLeondis

    • For an 18x10 wheel, the best tire size for your 2003 would be the 285/35-18. It would fit without any rubbing or clearance issues and won't throw off your speedometer! Hope this helps!

Will the heighth and width of these two different tire sizes effect any inaccuracy of the speedometer?

    mustang637

    • They won't be the EXACT circumference of your factory tires, but no, there should be negligable difference; these have a diameter of 25.4" and your factory size for the 2000 GT with 16" wheels was approximately 25". I say approximately because that year had 6 different types of wheel/tire combos. This is only a reference so you can see it's negligable. The staggered width has no affect on the speedometer.

      18" 5 spoke deep dish

I love the look of the deep dish. The only problem I had with the wheels, I wasn't able to use the factory lug nuts. My socket I was using didn't fit in the hole of the wheel. I had to go down to the local car store and find smaller lug nuts that worked. And if your only getting the back wheels, they don't really match the factory bullitt wheels in color and they have a kind of point down the middle of the spoke, where the factory is a smooth curve. lol other than that I like the mean look of the rear wheels!!!

      Bad Bullitt

Nice looking rim, but the paint doesn\'t really match original Bullitt rims, so best to get the fronts too when you can. I recommend you get the factory center caps too. By the way 285/40/18 Nitto 555 on the rear work perfect. Any bigger and your rubbing the shocks. Great ride and lots of heads turn. Aint that what it\'s all about?

      Deep Dish Rims.

Several people thought that the rim and tires would not fit on my 2004 GT, but just as advertised the wheels fit perfectly with no problems or fitment issues.

      8 teens

I bought the 18 X 10 deep dish wheels with Nitto tires for the rear. They look great and the ride is also great. Though I am not sure if I really feel a difference. I think I would have preferred the 20\'s but with the way I drive the GT, its questionable if that is the better decision. Maybe eventually I will lower the car too, so that may enhance the look. The company: great business, sales, and quick delivery.

Review from Staggered Deep Dish Bullitt Anthracite Wheel & NITTO Tire Kit - 18x9/10 (99-04 All)

      Not very staggered

Can't really tell the difference after swapping out the stock wheels/tires. A lot of reviews on here saying their stangs looked meaner - but I think its their wallets talking. Yes they look new and shiny, but the "staggered" look is missing. The extra inch on the back set is barely noticeable, if at all. (Going to upload photos so you can see from a more realistic angle) Putting $1400 into a $6k car I was expecting a little more bang for the buck.

The design and finish of these wheels are the best part of my car. The anthracite finish looks really good in the daytime or at night.

      Classic Mustang Look

Bought these rims when they were on sale and no regrets at all. Chose the staggered look and they truly make the car. If you wash them regularly they'll keep the like-new look. And spend the money on a good set of tires. The rims are too nice to cheap out on the tires.
