More Power for More Fun! In its stock form the 2005-2009 GT Mustang makes a respectable 300 Horsepower and 320 lb/ft of Torque which is already a blast to drive. But after installing an Edelbrock E-Force Stage 1 Street Supercharger you will have an outstanding 466 Horsepower and 439 ft/lbs of Torque to tear up the streets with. Edelbrock's unique Supercharger was designed for maximum low end torque and instant throttle response, with minimum engine stress. Best of all you make all this extra fun (power) while only running 91 octane, with little to no decrease in fuel economy.

Unique Supercharger Design. The heart and soul of Edelbrock's E-Force Supercharger is the Eaton Gen VI 2300 (140 cubic inch) TVS Supercharger rotors. The Eaton Gen VI features a unique four lobe design with a full 160° of twist to provide maximum flow, minimum temperature rise, quiet operation, and everyday reliability. The inverted design places the supercharger down low in the valley, allowing for 15" long intake runners to maximize low end torque.

Stay Cool. Edelbrock uses the largest intercooler available. Keeping the air cool is a 110 square inch high capacity air-to-water intercooler and full face low temperature heat exchanger, making it "coolest running supercharger" on the market today.

Breathe Easier. The E-Force Stage 1 Supercharger system breathes easy through a specially designed 85mm electronic throttle body that is matched to the most efficient and unique inlet configuration on the market today for a shorter less restrictive intake path for improved air flow.

Complete Kit. Edelbrock's E-Force Stage 1 Street Supercharger System arrives 100% complete ready to be installed. The highlights of this kit include Edelbrock's Supercharger Manifold Assembly that features Eaton TVS Rotors, 3.875" Pulley, a Dual Core Low Temperature Heat Exchanger with 110 Sq-in Intercooler, Goodyear® Gatorback™ Serpentine Belt, an Electric Intercooler Water Pump, Extruded Aluminum Fuel Rails with 41 lb/hr Fuel Injectors, 85mm Electronic Throttle Body and a Handheld Tuner with tune files.

50 State Legal. Unlike the competitors, Edelbrock's E-Force Stage 1 Street Supercharger is 50 state emissions legal under Carb E.O# D-215-77. This makes the E-Force Supercharger ideal for the daily driver looking for more power.

3 Year Warranty. All E-Force Stage 1 Systems that include a tuner, are eligible for Edelbrock's Free 3 year / 36,000 mile Limited Powertrain Warranty. Click here for complete details.

Required Upgrades. Installation of this Edelbrock E-Force Stage 1 Street Supercharger Kit on a 2005-2006 GT will require the use of an Edelbrock Cooling Upgrade kit. Installation on a 2009 GT will require the use of an Edelbrock Hardware Kit. Please see dropdown above listed above.

Application. This Edelbrock E-Force Stage 1 Street Supercharger Kit with Tuner is specifically designed for use on the 2005-2009 GT and Bullitt Mustangs equipped with the 3V Modular 4.6L V8 engine. Will clear the strut tower brace found on 2008-2009 Bullitt models.

Please Note. Edelbrock Supercharger Systems are built to order for our customers. Because of this there is a 14 business day lead time once an order is placed.

Can I still run 2 turbos If I have a supercharger can i still run 2 turbos too?

  • You can. It's called a compound boost system. If you google that you'll see some awesome setups using compound boost. Something to consider though, is if you need it. You'll need a custom shop willing to build it for you, a bulletproof bottom end, and a viable supercharger setup. You'll want a tuner kit, over a complete kit since the injectors and tune would be useless in a CB setup.

Non stock engines Can this work with an engine with ford racing cams and cnc heads?

  • FRPP CNC Heads, yes, but as with any head swap you want to consider the porting details to make sure you're getting an optimal setup. As for cams, you need to pick a grind that fits your intended purpose, your other components, and a supercharged engine, so you'd be looking for a particular cam or a custom grind. So in short there's really no yes/no answer here. However I will mention that FRPP's Hot Rod cams are not recommended for forced-induction setups, so if those were what you were thinking of, look elsewhere.

Can it work with Automatics? I have an '05 GT and was curious if this kit can be fitted for an automatic transmission? If so, are there any considerations I should make as in a rebuild of the transmission with better parts or a different torque converter?

  • yes it will work with auto trans, you just have to keep it under 10 psi and it wont damage engine and tranny

boost I know this supercharger ramps in boost at high rpm's, but do the cylinders see that increase in boost or is it just in the manifold? the increase in boost worries me on a stock motor. You could be running a 10 psi pulley for example which would be ok, but then it would ramp up to a dangerous level

  • Based on my experience of having this supercharger for over 3 years, the boost does not vary too much with RPM at least during wide open throttle. I have ran on boost pressures of 5, 9, and 11 psi on the stock engine. I have the 3.00 in pulley and the boost pressure never rises above 11 psi.

What gaskets do I need to buy? I would like a turnkey product before I begin. What doesn't come with the kit? (gaskets, lube, sealants, etc.)

Is a clutch upgrade required? will i need to change my stock clutch if i buy this supercharger?

  • It's not required but is recomended due to the extra hp and torque there's a good chance it'll wear the old clutch out faster and probably not when you are expecting it.

    Awesome Charger/Easy Install

Overall im very happy with my E-force charger. Went with the competition cai, smaller pulley and 60lb injectors. Installed myself in about 2 days taking my time. Easy install and awesome install guide and support from edelbrock. Dyno tune ran a max @ 522rwhp but tuned it down to around 485 cause of stock internals.

    Absolutley Perfect!!

This is hands down the most complete kit available. It looks like it came that way from the factory. Nobody can believe its a kit when I open the hood or open the throttle. I Could not be happier it dyno pulled 426rwhp and 410rwt. My nickname is now Happy Feet!!

    Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger

I really like this blower, as it has given my 06 GT new life. I had it installed at RPMM here in San Deigo,Ca. I went from 335 HP with some bolt on aftermarket ad-ons to a modest 510 at the crank and 445 at thr rear and is pushing 422 ft.lbs of torque. I did have some issues with the throttle body malfunction and the thrttle was sticking. After cleaning the throttle body twice and not fixing the issue, Edelbrock sent out a newer model throttle body and it has fixed the problem. With that being said, make sure you do not get this charger with the "old" throttle body as you might have the same issues. This was not a big deal only because I have a manual transmission. Overall, kick butt kit and I would definately recommend to all.

    One of the Best Kits

I installed the E-force kit on my 2008 Mustang about 3 years ago. Switching to the 3.25 inch pulley generated a proven dyno result of 470 ft-lb and 470 hp at the rear wheels. This kit is a very well designed and high quality product. You will not be disappointed.

    Good, smart investment

After sitting on the idea of forced induction and numerous visits to the AM supercharger page, I decided on the Edelbrock set up, mainly because I live in CA and have had bad luck in finding shops with "lower tolerance" for non-CARB mods, even though it is on the pricier side. I found myself defending my decision to some friends who I strung along the process, saying everything from wanting a conservative system for engine longevity to liking the way it looks better (I originally wanted the Procharger after having 2 other centrifugal systems on previous stangs). All of which were true. However, after installing and tuning my car, I've realized it was a super smart choice. Not only do I have all the above, including being street legal (I'm almost daring a cop to pull me over just to see if I have any illegal parts, which some areas around LA are known to do, just so I can show him/her the E/O sticker I have for it), but the power is pretty amazing. A couple things to note: First, DO GET A DYNO TUNE AFTER. The Edelbrock SCT tune is not a one size fits all solution. So for some it may work adequately, but to get the full potential, you need a professional tune to maximize your investment. I had a baseline run with the SCT tune before my tuner altered anything, and my powerband was all over the place and only peaked rwhp at 330. After the tune, I was good for 401. Combine that with my 4.10 gears and Brittany (my car) gets going in a hurry! Second, my tuner suggested I either get a more powerful fuel pump or a Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump, because my stock pump was maxing out at higher rpms, causing pinging. Lastly, I'd suggest getting a smaller pulley because the stock 4.6 is able to handle more boost and still be viable for longevity. This obviously depends on your particular application so either know your stuff or ask a pro first (like your friendly AM people! or your tuner).

    Nice supercharger

Install pretty straight forward. I didn't get a belt in my kit This kit is a really nice kit and produces good power.Comes with nice binder book with pics for installation. The power is very smooth went from 5.1 0-60 mph to 4.3 0-60 mph haven't done any other testing. It's a 06 gt convertible just added the supercharger for my wife but it's now a very fun car on the street . Some mods to suspension and great for track probably a mid 12 car.

Great End Result, Couple of Issues Getting There

Like many others, I took a couple of days to do the install with the help of some buddies. Overall the instructions are really good although there is some room for improvement. My case may be a bit isolated, but I noticed the tune instructions looked nothing like the tuner I was provided. It was difficult to tell if Edelbrock forgot to install the tune or not. It turned out that I contacted Edelbrock they had neglected to install the tune. I provided some info and they emailed me the proper tune. When it came to fire it up, they have a pre-fire checklist to ensure all is well. Well my intercooler pump would not turn on. We verified the pump was getting 12 volts, so we contacted Edelbrock again. After some trial and error we learned that the grounding location in the instructions was not adequate on my vehicle. Adding an additional ground wire and location fixed the problem. This was an additional headache. Once we went to fire it up, it started and immediately shut off with several error codes regarding the throttle body. After much more stress, hours and investigations, we found that the supplied harness in the kit had a pin that had backed itself out when connected (far away from the throttle body). Seating the pin in the faulty harness solved the final issue and wala! Now the car runs great and pulls like it never has before. Power is smooth and consistent throughout the power curve. So now I am very happy despite all the issues we experienced with the install. My advice if doing the install yourself would be to double check your supplied harnesses for loose pins. So far I've been very happy with the supercharger will be doing some testing on the drag strip soon.
