Does this product include all necessary parts for installation? Does the Flowmaster kit include all the necessary clamps, hangers and parts needed to install this kit or is there any necessary parts you have to buy separate? Also does the V6 mustang have previous bolt holes for the added hangers to bolt up to on the driver's side or do you have to weld or drill and tap to attach them?

  • It appears that everything is in the box. I've found sometimes you have to reuse parts from the OEM parts - so don't destroy anything when taking off the OEM equipment.

Does the dual exhaust conversion kit require any welding ?

how much horse power does it add?

thodgin

  • An exhaust mod will help to expel the engines exhaust more efficiently allowing for better airflow to the motor, thus, increasing the engines output. As for the amount it adds, its really a ballpark. Most kits see gains of about 12-18 HP, along with a custom tune you may be able to see the higher end of that. Note: There is a general understanding that any HP increase of less than 10% isn't very noticeable, if at all.

Hi, I have a single exhaust so I have one Catalytic Converter, if I choose to buy this, would I be required to buy ANOTHER catalytic converter to make it a "true dual catback exhaust" ? Thank you

STOHEAVEN

  • If you plan to run the one cat, you will need to run the other. The exhaust will not bolt up properly on one side if you are missing a catalytic converter. Or you can eliminate the cats completely. Though, you will not pass emissions testing then.

    FANTASTIC PRODUCT

After researching MANY V6 dual exhaust conversion kits, I decided on the Flowmaster. I thought it had the best overall sound and reputation for quality materials. I knew it would cost a bit more than other brands on this website, but I truly believe it was worth the extra cost. I had a local shop in Austin, TX install the kit. The install price was a little steep (~$300), but they welded in the new pipes (instead of brackets) and made sure that it would pass state inspection. Piece of mind is worth the extra expense. You can spend it now or later, but you are going to spend it. I would HIGHLY recommend this product, especially for the 2010 V6 owners out there. The shop told me that fitment was very easy and this is the only kit specific to the 2010. As you know there are issues in upgrades to the 2010 at times as it has the older engine with the newer body style. From what I can tell this can sometimes lead to fitment issues. That was NOT the case with the Flowmaster kit.

    Great product! Easy install!

Before I installed this exhaust, the only do-it-yourself experience I had was the hour or two it took me to replace the grill on my Mustang. But even with my minimal knowledge, I was able to complete the installation of the Flowmaster and my new rear valance in just over three hours (with some extra hands). If you have a 2010 V6 and are planning on supercharging your pony later like I am, I would highly recommend the Flowmaster Force II. Sounds great by the way!

2010 Mustang V6 Converted to Dual Exhaust

I did some research on dual exhaust conversions for my 2010 V6 single exhaust regarding product quality, fit, finish and price and decided to purchase the Flowmaster Force II True Dual Catback Exhaust System and couldn't be more pleased with the results. My mechanic completed the conversion in just under one hour and said everything went together nicely without any problems. I love the new throaty exhaust sound but if you're looking for a quiet dual exhaust system for your V6, this isn't it.

    2010 V6 true duel conversion

Installation was relatively straight forward with little modifications , it all worked out very well . Looks really good , lines up well in new rear diffuser. Car is a V6 , so it sounds good , but not throaty like a V8. I'm very pleased with the whole outcome.

    Flowmaster

Awesome product! Great Sound! Rumble without overbearing drone or vibration, be careful if you have already converted your 10< V6 to duals, as the bent tubing will be too short and you will have to weld in pieces of tubing from your old system, in my case that was the defective Pypes dual exhaust system, had I known that it would rust up severely and have pits in it with holes after 7 months before I bought it I would have got Flowmasters from the get go. Thanks AM Alex Lazarus for the assistance and recommendation of Flowmasters as the replacement.

    Phenomenal

Great purchase for any V6 mustang owner. Obviously it isn't going to sound 100% like a V8 but this system does sound amazing. Great price as well. Had a shop install it and only paid $150. Can't really say there's much of a performance gain but definitely love this exhaust!
