will this work with a stage 2 spec clutch Can I use this throw out bearing on my stage 2 spec clutch. I don't know if you can use different bearings for different clutch's

  • Yes, you can use different manufacturer TO bearings on any clutch kit. FRPP throw out bearings and pilot bearings are highly recommended for longevity and noise free service.

Do I need to replace my clutch too? When replacing the throwout bearing, does the clutch need to be replaced as well? And while I'm at it should I replace the flywheel?

  • If you're going in there for the TB, I would... I am currently going through this right now in my mach 1 and will be doing this in the next few weeks

Should i get this throwout bearing or stick with the clutch kit one? I was checking out the Exedy Mach 600 Stage 4 Clutch kit and my question to you is should I buy the ford racing performance throwout bearing or stick with the one provided in the Exedy Mach 600 stage 4 clutch kit? What is your recommendation?

  • Buy this bearing. The ones in the kit tend to premature and squeal after time. I made this mistake too many times to save a couple bucks but it ends up costing more in the long wrong. Hope this helps. Good luck!

    Ford Racing, cant go wrong

This is the first part to wear in the clutch system. While I was doing it wanted to put the best part in I could. The factory cable system does not seem to allow for the release bearing to fully release. I installed the adjustable clutch cable and quadrant. The pedal was still bouncing from the bearing just touching the clutch. I installed a bracket with a spring to pull the release bearing completely away from the clutch. Now the bearing will last as long as the clutch. Previously the bearing would just touch and would be spinning for no reason. The spring I installed took care of the clutch pedal bouncing around due to the release bearing touching the clutch. Simple, yet very effective!

    Super high quality bearing

I changed out the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot bearing that came in a clutch kit. Two months later the clutch release bearing came apart, so I had to pull the transmission again to replace it. From now on, I will go with the ford racing bearing to ensure that it doesn't happen to me again.

    No more chatter!

I installed a SPEC clutch in my Bullitt last May and it's now October and the spec TOB was squealing already. Ordered this and now it's perfect. Clutch engaged smoother than before with no extra spinning. Also put a new ford racing pilot bearing in as well. Great product!

    GREAT product a "Must Buy"

I have a 2003 Mustang GT, recently bought the Spec stage 2+ clutch from AM, and purchased the Ford Racing Throwout Bearing for it. I couldnt be happier with the Gear Engagement, and how well it handles my 435Horsepower. Ford Racing TB is one of the best on the market in my book, no noise or grinding, and i will buy this again.

    Best throwout bearing!

I use this throwout bearing every time I replace my clutch. It is a very well built part and seems to last a lot longer than the ones that come with most clutch kits. I would highly recommend using one of these if you are changing out your clutch as added insurance.

    FRPP Throwout Bearing

The best throwout bearing on the market. I have worked with many throwout bearings and this is by far the best one out there. I recommend this for anyone who is replacing their clutch. Buy it, trust me, you won't regret it.

    Ford Racing TOB

I got this part because it is a MUST if you're changing out your clutch. Its a very strong part and I know I don't ever have to worry about changing it again. It can't compare to the weak pieces that come with the clutch kit.

    Don't do it twice

Held side by side, FRP bearing obviously better than stock or bearing that came with clutch kit. Save yourself pulling tranny again in 5000 miles. Chuck that cheap bearing and invest in a good one.

    Ford throw out bearing

Use it during a swap and you won't regret it! I know you all hate your squeaky TO bearings so this will make you feel better. If you're going as far as taking the tranny out for this bearing than might as well change the clutch too. But that's a different story. Anyway product it great love it thumbs up.

I've installed 2 of these in the past year and both have failed. The first one I got 400 miles on it when it started to make noise the second I got 35 miles before it started to squeal.
