        1 2007 GT500 - Richard

        Bearing drags

Had a problem with the car moving while clutch depressed. Transmission shop said it was the pilot bearing. Just drive the car to much money to replace.

        Very quiet

Used in place of the solid bearing supplied with the clutch kit I purchased.

        5 2003 Mach 1 - PDOGG74

I recommend using the Ford performance pilot bearing in place of the clutch kit pilot bearing, the Ford performance pilot bearing was very well greased inside and it felt heavier, looked sturdier and bigger. The clutch kit pilot bearing did not look that great in fact, it look like a Chinese knockoff that you get from the local auto store. Once again I'm very well pleased in the purchase of the Ford performance pilot bearing in place of the clutch kit pilot bearing.

On other websites, I'm seeing the M-7600-B pilot bearing as being fine for most/all '96-'04 Cobras as well. Can somebody please confirm/deny that I would be able to use this in my '03?

      • The Ford Performance Roller Pilot Bearing will work with 4.6L/5.4L and 5.0L 4V TIVCT modular engines and will work with your 03 Cobra so long as you have the modular 4.6 L in it.

I bought this part and submerged it in grease and put it in plastic bag again ,because the bearing came dry and tucky , Will that hurt the bearing ?

      • This Ford Racing Roller Pilot Bearing is pre-greased, do not add extra grease or damage may occur. As the part was not functioning as it should have, this probably would not cause any damage.
