Mustang Headlights: Frequently Asked Questions

• Depending on the year of your vehicle there will be different types of adjusters on your headlight. Some years have tabs attached to their mounting posts that determine which way the light will be aimed. Others have a “gear-like” wheel that needs to be adjusted to aim the light. When you receive your new lights, take a look at the back of one of the light housings, this is where you will find the adjustment points.

If you have condensation in your lights, then one of two things has occurred. Either you did not seal the lights before installation, or the seal on the light has deteriorated and needs to be resealed. Do not worry; there is an easy fix for this. • Actually, it depends on the set of lights you are considering. Most of our lights are sold in pairs, but we do sell some factory replacements as either a driver side (LH), or passenger side (RH). Be sure to read the description on the product page to see whether the lights are a set or a single unit.

• All of our headlights, and most of our fog lights, come with bulbs already installed by the manufacturer. However, we highly suggest upgrading to a higher quality bulb. The bulbs that are provided by the manufacturer are a lower quality, generic bulb and the life and performance of the bulb cannot be guaranteed.

• Our lighting products carry a one year warranty from defect. Issues such as damage during installation and headlight condensation are not covered by warranty. If you have any doubts that you will be able to install the lights properly, we highly suggest that you have it done by a professional.

• Since we sell our products nationwide, and also in Canada, it is impossible to say whether or not our lights will be street legal everywhere. The best course of action would be to check with your local authorities to see if there are any laws against installing aftermarket lights on your vehicle.

• Any type of installation that you are unfamiliar with should be done by a qualified professional. If you are familiar with wiring, and are prepared to take the task on yourself, here is an instructional video that will explain the general concept of wiring the accessory and halo lights on your headlight. Depending on what year you have, there may be some variation.

• No, the projector housing is not large enough to house a HID bulb. This causes the bulb to overheat and burst. Our HID kits are only compatible with reflector type headlight housings.

• The answer to this question can only be answered by your local authorities. Every state, county, township, etc. have different laws and ordinances in regards to what can and cannot be used on a vehicle. If you are not sure, check with your local authorities or inspection station.
