For a daily driver will these improve my ride quality without any issues on my 2003 mustang GT with SR performance springs and castor camber plates? The stocks give me a rough ride.

  • The KONI STR.T Front Strut (94-04 All) is a great aftermarket option if you are looking to replace your old struts, and they would be a great fit with those springs and camber plates!

How much will the ride quality depreciate after installing these strut's . i have cc plates and ford racing coil spring, new insulators? Installed them on my car, and it sound and feel like the struts are bottoming out on larger bumps. What can i do to fix this problem?

td01GHOST

  • The KONI STR.T Front Strut will cause the ride quality to depreciate when initially installed, however, after break-in, the struts should perform better than the OE struts. You may be bottoming out due to the spring rate of your springs. If the springs are soft, and shorter, the strut will compress too far and bottom out. I would recommend using a bump stop to avoid damaging the unit, if you do not plan on using a stiffer/taller spring.

Question Resolved

I have a set of KYB shocks and strut on my lowered 96 cobra . Not happy with the ride . So my Question is . Are these KONI STR.T a better choice ?

Venom96

  • The KYB's and the KONI STR.T Front Struts are very similar, and it ultimately depends on preference. KYB and the Koni' shocks/struts are one of the more controversial rivals, and you will see arguments for and against both brands, when comparing them to each other.

    KONI Struts

These struts are quite an improvement over the factory ones. The ride is a lot more firm and doesn't feel like I'm driving a bounce house down the road anymore! Instal was simple, only struggle was with the old, rusty bolts. Overall great product!

    Nice Improvement

I installed Koni Shocks and struts this winter. Along with these I added SR Camber/Caster plates, and a Steeda Strut Tower Support. The installation was easy, especially if you do them all at the same time. Fit and finish is excellent on all three. The SR. Plates are especially nice. I have one drive and the difference is noticeable.

Excellent quality at a great price!

I was riding around in my 95 GT on factory struts and they were awful! I installed these struts along with Eibach Pro Kit springs and the ride quality has improved dramatically. Still has that sports car feel over bumps but recovers much more quickly and they don't bottom out like my factory ones did. The fitment was spot on. Certainly worth every dollar I spent on these!!

    Drop dead flawless

I bought these to replace my old work and horrible struts along with sway bar bushings and they totally transformed the handling of my car. Steering is so smooth and bumps are no match for my stang. They're 150 worth the money. Took about an hour per strut, maybe less. Over all amazing. Would recommend to anyone

    Awesome for the money

My stock struts ended up dying and I had to buy replacements, and instead of saving up for the KONI sport adjustables I had to get new ones immediately. I decided these would be an alright replacement.and they've worked perfectly so far.

    Nice Start

Followed a new set if tires with these struts. Old struts shot so anything would have been a noticeable improvement. These tightened up the front suspension, and were a good first step. Had some problems with the shipping. Contacted AM and they quickly took care of the problem. Stuff happens, but they handeled it without any hassle.

    Koni STR. T Front Strut

Purchased these with the rear shocks. 90,000 miles on the mustang, and it was time for a new pair of struts (even though the shop said they were still OK). Installed these with a buddy of mine who is a mechanic, install was straight forward. Once installed, I sat in the car and immediately noticed a difference: the car felt more solid. The handling is more responsive, and the ride quality is great. The stance looks a little more aggressive as well. Keep in mind these and the Koni rear shocks leave room if you want to install lowering springs or do a full suspension overhaul, which is a plus. Great product, a must have regarding upkeep.

This product creates a smooth ride

This product is a great bang for its buck. No need to spend the money for a shop to install them, these Koni front struts are very easy to install. You can install both of them in about 2 to 3 hours depending on whether you have a lift or not. Either way, these struts fit perfectly and have a very smooth ride. I would recommend this product any day. Koni shocks for the rear make a great matching pair of struts and shocks.

    Wish AM had these sooner.

I had to leave the comforts of AM to get these shocks and struts. They are a nice solid strut that keeps my v6 planted to the ground around curves now. I teamed them up with a set of SR lowering springs and MM c/c plate.

    Koni STR.T Shocks and Struts

With 70,000 miles on my Mustang it was definitely time for new shocks and struts. My car is street driven and never goes to a track. After searching, I decided on the Koni STR.T shocks and struts. American Muscle price matched them and I got a great deal. The ride is just a little firmer than stock, but not harsh at all. The ride is good, exactly what I was hoping for and expecting. The swaying and dipping feeling I had before is gone and the car drives and handles great now. It feels very solid. The install was easy. I just used installation instructions posted here for other sets and had no trouble at all. This was a good purchase and I am very happy with the Konis.

    Improvement

This is a nice suspension improvement. Ride is not harsh at all, and the car feels a lot more solid in turns, handles a lot better than with OEM. I dont have time for adjustments, so those where the right choice. Installation is easy, struts a little more involve in removing that top bolt from originals struts, but nothing you cant do. AM sent me the wrong chocks first, but they corrected that by sending the good ones the day after, super service !!
