THE BRACE IS OK BUT THE AMOUNT OF WORK IT TAKES TO INSTALL IS A BIG PAIN AND I DONT KNOW YET IF IT WILL DO ANY GOOD.

Does it fit with a JLT intake? I have a JLT Next Gen Ram intake and Oil separator installed. I'm wondering if the strut tower will fit? Any issues with the intake?

Christo Year: 1999 Model: Cobra

  • If the JLT has similar routing to the stock intake you should be fine. Maximum Motorsports also has great customer service, give them a ring or an email

    mm strut tower brace /cobra

This is a decent product and since my car already has weld in sub frame connectors I didn't expect much of an improvement. There is one word of caution, this is designed ti fit the stock cobra cold air intake and you will have problems getting an aftermarket one to fit after you install this brace.

    Problems with strut tower brace

I must say that I was shocked that I would have to drill into my car body to put on a strut tower brace. And after getting it on I have found that I cant do much of anything under the hood without having to lift my car and remove the brace because it covers most of the key areas of my car. And I had one problem with one of the nut plates on the fire wall that would not accept a bolt. I just don't know if it is worth it or not! It does change the way my car handels around corners, but how many hours will I end up removing and replacing it for basic maintenance.

Fits if your setup is right, feels and looks great!

This strut tower brace rules. I had issues with installation because I had the FWD coolant crossover on my engine (it's taller) so I had to switch back to the RWD crossover. Little bit of an involved installation if you have coilovers, you'll have to take them out to bolt the brace in place. (04 GT + DOHC turbo)
