The XL series subframe connector is longer, thicker, and mounts with more surface area to weld then any other on the market. It’s 1.5” x 2” x .083” thick rectangular tubing extends from the rear control arms mounting location near the rear tires, all the way to the firewall just before the front tires. With that much coverage you’ll be sure to have the most a strong bond and plenty of clean metal to weld them onto.Application.
Maximum Motorsports designed these subframe connectors to fit all 1979 to 2004 V6, GT, Bullitt, Mach 1, and Cobra Mustangs. Even Roush and Saleen Edition Mustangs can benefit from this upgrade as well.
Technical Note. Test fitting before welding. 1996-98 Cobras will require modifications to the transmission crossmember mounting flanges.
