Hey, what's going on, guys? Adam here with AmericanMuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a detailed review of the MMD Carbon Fiber Fog Light Covers fitting fall 2015 and newer Mustangs. So in this video, I'll be touching on one of the most important aspects which will be construction obviously since they're carbon fiber. Some of the other stuff I'll touch on is styling and even the installation, which I'll tell you up front, we'll give it one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, making it something anybody can do with a little bit of time in the driveway at home. So let's jump right into it.So the MMD carbon fiber fog light covers are going to be for the 2015 and newer Mustang owner out there looking to give the outside of their Pony a real aggressive carbon fiber appearance by actually adding real carbon fiber from one of the most trusted exterior styling brand names out there. So like I said, MMD or Modern Muscle Design is definitely one of the biggest names in exterior styling parts, making it a no-brainer to look in their direction when doing some exterior styling mods to your Mustang. Now, with that said, carbon fiber's also one of the most desired exterior styling pieces, with the exception of weight reduction which helps the racing and what not, but in this case, we're strictly talking about the styling portion. The carbon fiber fog light covers I have with me today from MMD are going to give the front end of your Mustang a very unique twist and aggressive look, making it a head turner, especially useful for the guys out there making some car show appearances. So the fog light covers I have with me today from MMD are manufactured out of real hand laid carbon fiber with a gloss weave, obviously, has that really attractive finish as you can see the light shining right off of it.Now this is real carbon fiber, so you know it's gonna be lightweight and durable. I will say that they're extremely thin products but that does not take away from the durability, as we all know, carbon fiber has. Now, another thing I want to add to the construction, which kind of falls under the application, will be the 3M tape on the back of the product to keep it stuck on the front of your car and it's also UV-protected so that when it stays on your car, it's not gonna fade or deteriorate in the sun for prolonged exposure with the daily drivers or the show car guys.So I do want to point out that some people do pick up carbon fiber parts just to drop weight, seeing how considerably lighter they are than most stock parts. Now this is not gonna be the case here. This is not really a weight reduction type of part. This is not going to replace anything. It's simply a cover going onto your factory fog light surround. So you don't want to expect to be replacing your fog light cover with a lighter one, simply because this is just going to stick over the cover you already have.So with that said, this is just going to be an exterior styling upgrade, which in my opinion does a great job, especially for the guys out there who do really like that carbon fiber appearance, which I am definitely one of them. I think if I had a 2015 Mustang, I'd be picking these up, even though the price is a bit steep, which I'll touch on in just a minute. So price-wise for these fog light covers, like I said, it might be a little bit steep for some people. These come in just north of $300, which can be a little bit pricey, but you do want to take into consideration that they are real carbon fiber. Now most real carbon fiber parts can range around $300 depending on the product, sometimes even more. But for fog light surround, I do think it's a little bit pricey, but you want to take into consideration all the bang for your buck you're getting with the durability, the light weight, and the really aggressive real carbon fiber materials. So installation-wise, like I said, this one is going to be extremely straightforward, extremely simple, something anybody can do with about a half hour at the maximum in the driveway at home. Now you're not gonna need any tools to get this one done, and you won't even need to jack the car up. All you'll need is your hands and maybe a half hour.So one thing I would recommend before you get started on the installation is actually cleaning the area around your fog lights that are already on the vehicle now. Now you can use some soap and water or even some alcohol wipes just to make sure there's no dirt and dust around to make sure that your 3M tape actually get a really good bond with the vehicle. So once you clean the area thoroughly, all you'll have to do is peel back the backing on the actual 3M tape and once you get that off, just stick it into place and repeat the process for the opposite side and you'll be good to go. Overall, it's one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. So just to wrap things up, guys, if you're the owner of 2015 or newer Mustang and you're looking to switch up the exterior appearance on the front end of your Mustang by giving it a real carbon fiber look, you might want to check out the MMD carbon fiber fog light covers which are available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
