Hey, guys. Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today, I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the MMD Tail Light Trim in a matte black finish available for all 2015 and newer Mustangs, excluding the 50th anniversary edition models. So in this video, of course, we'll be going over the styling and appearance you can expect when adding this tail light trim from MMD. I'll even touch on the materials and construction. I'll top the video off with the install, which I'll let you know upfront, gets a very easy, one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter, simply because this will install using 3M automotive bonding tape. The MMD Tail Light Trim you see here will be for any 2015 or newer Mustang owner who's looking to add a little bit more detail to the rear end of their S550, more specifically, those tri-bar iconic tail lights. And in this case, you're adding a tail light trim that comes in a sleek matte black finish. So I'm sure, most of us can agree that the S550 tail lights is probably one of the most aggressive takes on that tri-bar design, dating all the way back the mid-'60s.Now with that said, some people out there who own the S550 might think that it could use a little bit more detail, just to spice up that appearance. If that's the case, you might be looking into any trim or bezels in the aftermarket world, just to surround that 3D design a little bit more. Now, in this case, in my personal opinion, the matte black finish that MMD has on this particular tail light trim would actually top off that rear-end and give it that little bit of detail that it kind of needs just to make it pop a little bit more.As far as the materials and construction goes, this is pretty straightforward, especially when it comes to these aftermarket trims. You can expect a high quality ABS plastic, something extremely lightweight, extremely durable, something that is somewhat flexible but can take a beating. It's also UV protected, so it's great for the guys out there attending a lot of car shows, using this as a daily driver, something that's parked on the street a lot, is exposed to a lot of sunlight. This thing isn't gonna fade, it's not gonna crack over time. And, you know, MMD is actually pretty known for making quality parts like this for your exterior, so I'm not surprised with this particular construction here.As far as the price goes, if you're interested in picking up the tail light trim from MMD you see here, you can expect to be spending about 150 bucks. Now, in my personal opinion, after holding this, I don't think it's a very bad price at all, especially for the guys out there attending a lot of shows, or even if you're trying to complete an all-out blackout look for your exterior. Now, if you're to get the black paint, the black interior, the black wheels, all you need to do is top off that rear-end to give the tail lights a little bit more black since obviously, they're coming in a red color. Now with that said, 150 bucks and it's yours. My personal opinion, not a bad price at all. And I think with the matte black look, it really adds the detail that the rear-end needs. Now, I'm gonna shift gears over to the install portion of the video. If you're interested in getting this installed on your S550, I want you to know, it installs extremely easily with 3M automotive bonding tape that is provided for you in the kit. Now, 3M automotive bonding tape is a very, very solid adhesive bonding here, so this is something that isn't gonna fall off over time. It'll stay on as long as you want it to, and it's easily removable if you wanna take it off.Now with that said, you're not gonna need any hand tools, any special hand tools at that. The only thing you'll need are the alcohol wipes provided in the kit, just to clean off the area to get a good bonding. Now with that said, you'll be using the alcohol wipes to clean off your factory tail lights, of course, the area all around the tail lights that you'll be applying this to. Once you have that taken care of, you'll use the 3M automotive bonding roll that's included in the kit, you'll cut off little strips, and you'll see on the back here, there are separate spaces here, just to show you exactly where the 3M tape will go. Once you have that stuck in the back of the trim, peel off the backing on that tape, and stick it right into place. Repeat that process for the opposite side, and you're good to go. Overall, I'll say, about 15 to 20 minutes on the install, and a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter. Now, just to wrap up this overview and install, guys, if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer S550 Mustang, excluding the 50th anniversary edition, you might be looking to get a little bit more detail for your rear-end of your S550, including those tail lights. So if you are, you might wanna check out the MMD Tail Light Trim in the matte black finish, which of course is available right here at americanmuscle.com.
